Unique Super Digest-It Bio-Enzymatic Acid-Free Drain Opener and Clog Remover for Household Use (128 fl oz)

Used this "Unique" enzyme-type drain opener for keeping the kitchen sink drain clear. Seems to work fine. I usually dump maybe two gallons of warm water with the drain opener mixed in down the sink before we leave the house for a couple days or so. It will not work on drains such as shower drains where stoppage is caused by build-up of hairs in drain. It literally digests only most organic food products.

I had been looking for an all natural, green drain cleaner and chanced upon this one. I shouldn't have ignored the negative reviews because they were ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. Do not trust the positive reviews, because I believe they were written by the company to mislead consumers.That said, let me share my story. I had a clogged, slow drain in the bathroom, and I used this product EXACTLY ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE BOTTLE. I'm not one of those people who just does whatever with a product without regard to the instructions. I am very strict about instructions. I poured this product down the drain, following the instructions and checked the next morning.NO CHANGE. In fact, I firmly believe it made the clog slightly WORSE.I waited a couple more days, intermittently flushing the sink and watching the drain back up. I tried a second time that evening, following the instructions, and checked AGAIN in the morning. This time, there was no mistaking it: the clog WAS DEFINITELY WORSE!!!For some reason, I did it a third time, praying it would work. Same results as above!!I finally had to call my landlady who used a drain cleaner called 10 Minute Drain Opener, which literally opened the drain in the promised TEN MINUTES. Haven't had a problem thus far with the sink backing up.PLEASE PLEASE I beg of you, SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.You would be better off burying your money in the ground instead!!!Real rating: ZERO STARS!!

It is effective, and yet is not ruining my pipes.

I plunged the crap out of the bathtub drain to no avail. I snaked it to no avail. I put in about a cup and a half of the stuff and left it overnight the next day the drain was totally clear the stuff is awesome it just takes a little longer than the acid-based chemicals but it is worth it.

I haven't used it on a clogged drain yet, just slow drains. It seems to improvethe situation, but it not a miracle cure. Granted, I've only used it once. It is easy to use.I like the natural idea.

We bought a condo where the toilet often clogged. I found this stuff at Ace, and flushed a quart of it full strength down the toilet and let it sit overnight. Never had another problem.I now use a cup full strength at night once a month in both kitchen and bathroom sink drains, the shower, and the toilet as a preventive measure.

Finally got this good plumber told me what is the cause of clog and how to solve it and maintain it. Mine is grease cause the clog, this product is perfect for it. Just follow the simple instructions my kitchen pipe never run so quick.

I used this for a clogged toilet drain. I applied six cups of hot water to the toilet bowl, and as I flushed I added the Unique so they would mix in the drain pipes where the blockage was. I had previously used the same technique with baking soda and cold vinegar, and while it did some good I was not convinced it would always be adequate, thus the Unique. The drain is working well now. This is a low flow toilet which I like, and it has only clogged twice in the five years we have had it. Both times there was a large amount of débris that precipitated the final clog. So, I am going to use this every month or so and after such a drain clogging event. I am very glad to have found an effective organic way to keep drains clear. Note: as this product ages, it is less effective, so use it regularly.

Just what we needed for drain maintenance as recommended by a plumber.

As much as I support green products, this one doesn't work at all in my case.
