Great Book
I really enjoyed this book and found it very good way to refresh my understanding of basic physics principles. I really like this book and I highly recommend it.

Lifesaver for Physics Class!
I've always struggled with physics, and was taking a university physics class for the second time. This book SAVED MY GRADE. It explained concepts really well, in a way that built upon each other. I was able to reference class topics in this book and actually understand them!

classroom use
I teach Physics and our school does not have a physics text book since we do most of the course work on line. I needed a simple way to fill in the gaps for what we were getting on line and what we were doing in the classroom. The Physics for Dummies series was a great resource. The exercises were practical and easy for the students to understand. I really like the relationship between the books and the workbook. This has been really useful for my students.

Good non-calculus based coverage of physics topics
Very good overall -- I used it to translate my Calculus based Physics text book into English. Uses basic algebra and trig to cover 2nd half of a 2 semester physics course, although the order and organization of the topics may vary from school to school. I didn't use the work books, so I can't gauge their quality nor the level of synergy between the book and the workbook. Gripes: references material in book one that... is ... not in book one. Would like a tear-out car for formulas like many of the other dummies books have.

Really helpful
This book was extremely helpful. I learned so much from it and it made even the toughest equations a breeze. The only knock on this is that I was actually taking physiology so I totally failed my class. Guess it really was ordered for a dummy.

Great book!
I am taking graduate level physics classes and I carry this book to class with me. When introduced to a new topic in class, I read this first and then proceed to build on it. It does a great job in building the foundation and putting complicated terms into everyday situations. The math is not complicated, simple trigonometry and algebra. Easy read. Perfect for beginners.

For Dummies books are fantastic, great tutor!
I love the "...For Dummies" line of support regardless of the difficult subject matter. As for physics, and the comprehension of this subject material, as many different means of tutorial support are always helpful in grasping the theory of the subject. This is a great book to support and enhance an introductory physics course.

physics II for dummies
This is a good book and a solid introduction. No complaints on content. I have two engineering degrees from 30 yrs ago, and my son is now taking this stuff, hence my renewed interest so I have help him with homework. I gave the book 3 stars because I got the Kindle editio. The only issue is that the formulas are microscopic in size in the Kindle version. A major defect in my opinoin. You can't see them without tapping on them to open a window to enlarge them, and even then, sometimes they are still too small to read. Further, the tapping or double tap to open them frequently failed and merely advanced the pages in the book- mind numbingly frustratiing. The content is good- buy the paper version.

Outdated since Physics 1 was updated
Physics 1 was released in 2016, while Physics 2 was released 2010 (maybe 2011). That has lead to a massive information gap as the 2016 Physics 1 had little to no mention of electricity while Physics 2 jumps right in and really confused me.

Very good.
I purchased both of the physics books and the physics workbook together. I have found all 3 easy to work through and very well written, providing clear concise explanations on subjects that can be very difficult to explain. If you have an unfulfilled interest in physics then I would definitely recommend these.
