Worked perfectly
I damaged laptop charging port, computer repair place wanted $99 to diagnose and replace. Bought this and installed in under 15 minutes. The wires are a little longer than original but I just tucked them in carefully and closed laptop. Battery is charging and as good as new.

Great fit, now charges
Cable is longer than needed but works well. Charger fits port snugly so it charges well in all positions. My old port was a loose fit so it only charged some of the time.

Perfect Fit
Spent $6 and saved about a $100 by fixing my laptop myself. This was a perfect fit for my Dell Inspiron 15, 3000 series. Took up maybe an hour of my time, mostly because once I opened my laptop I gave it a good dusting down and double checked everything was back in the right place. So glad I took the time to look up a tutorial for replacing my charge port, turns out it was just the plastic ring for the screw that broke off and left it free moving, was a super easy fix. If you have the right tools, tutorials or know-how and are sure this is the right part for the job, I definitely recommend this.

Worked as expected
The poor "Ease Of Install" rating is NOT towards the cable itself. I basically had to take the entire Dell Laptop apart in order to replace this cable. I am worried this is going to break again and I will have to do this all over again. The part works as expected and is an exact replacement for my Dell laptop. The only problem is that the piece that helps hold the cable in place is plastic and can break easily with long term use, overstressing the power cord or if you happen to accidentally drop the laptop and it falls where the power cord connects to the laptop, putting enough force against the power cord causing that plastic piece holding the cable in place, to break. If it were easier to replace, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. I gave it 4 stars because it is an exact replacement, not an upgraded part and it works as expected.

Perfect Replacement
While the part was the same specs as the original it was by no means a simple install. If you have an Inspiron 15 the length is ~ 6". If you have an Inspiron 14 the length you need is ~ 8". Check the description to make sure you get the right cable. An 8" cable will work in an Inspiron 15 there will just be a lot of excess cable to deal with. I really like this design, as power ports notoriously break, and replacing a cable is much easier than soldering a port to a motherboard. Here are my tips to solve the issues I ran into:I couldn't find a repair guide on iFixIt and the manual Dell linked to the laptop's S/N was wrong. (2015 Rev 00 manual: https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_laptop/esuprt_inspiron_laptop/inspiron-15-3552-laptop_service%20manual2_en-us.pdf) The computer I was working on was a 2017 version. I recommend that you don't disassemble the computer until you have the part in hand. This way you can remember how to reassemble it. (I finally got it all back together, but I had disassemble reassemble a few times to get it right.)The case screws will fall out if you don't put a dab of blue (semi-permanent) thread lock on them during reassembly. I guarantee this to be the case. (Three were missing and I had to replace them from my stock of M2.5 x L6, which you can buy cheaply as a set of variable sizes on Amazon.)There are some very small screws that will disappear if you drop them. I recommend you use a magnetic mat (the kind that is used by optometrists) to keep your dropped screws from disappearing. You'll need magnification and good lighting if you're old, like I am.The screws are crosspoints and not Phillips. Use the right bit, or driver, to avoid stripping the screw head. (Amazon has a nice driver and bit set for working on laptops and other devices. Search for Kingsdun 60in1,or stock number: B07CK44BJT)I hope these tips help you.

Good quality and Exact fit
My Dell Inspiron laptop was reporting a 0-watt power supply at BIOS start-up, and would run and charge slowly when plugged in because it didn't know the input power, but would run normally when using the battery. I only had the original power supply, which felt loose when plugged into the laptop, so I assumed the receptacle on the side of the laptop was damaged which was cheaper than a new power supply. I opened the laptop and replaced it with this part, which looked better quality than the OEM part I removed and was an exact fit, but the issue ended up being the power supply which when replaced cleared the BIOS warning and the laptop ran fine again.
