This was a Christmas gift for my teenage daughter. She is really getting into cooking ramen noodles so I bought her the rapid ramen noodle cooker and cookbook too. This is very pretty and holds a lot of soup.

The ornate detail and vibrancy of this bowl is absolutely gorgeous. You can slightly feel the texture of each paint-stroke on the bowl, and I absolutely love the depth. I accidentally dropped this within a week of owning it and it stayed fully intact, thank goodness. The durability is wonderful!This product would've gotten a full five stars if the chopsticks weren't broken off at the end. Better packaging for shipping is recommended to the distributor. However, if you already have sets of chopsticks the bowl itself is more than enough.

Very beautiful bowl with sturdy chopsticks. My only problem is that the bowl is a lot smaller than expected -- it doesn't fit much ramen in it at all. Definitely seems more of a decorative item than a frequent-use item.

I bought two of these bowls in the Henna pattern and couldn't be happier with them. The size is perfect for anything from soup to noodles to tuna salad. The chopsticks that came with them are twist-style (not the plain, traditional chopsticks that are currently pictured), and they're also very nice, but black lacquer chopsticks look good with the Henna print since it has a black rim. One nice detail is the raised white dots that accent the designs; it gives depth to the pattern while adding texture to the bowls. Oh, and they do just fine in the dishwasher.Great purchase--already looking forward to using these at breakfast (scrambled eggs work fine with chopsticks!) while sitting out on the porch now that the weather is warming up.Update: I've had these for nearly 6 months now and they've held up really well. I put them in the top rack of the dishwasher and they come out fine. We've had everything from buldak noodles to scrambled eggs in these bowls, and the finish was not discolored by the sauce on the buldak. (That stuff is evil. Delicious evil.) There is no crazing of the glaze, and no stress cracks. We remain pleased with these and look forward to using them through the winter.UPDATE: I've had these for over a year now and they're still in great shape despite regular runs through the dishwasher and metal chopsticks. They look as good as the day we received them.UPDATE: 5 years using these bowls and they’re still perfect. I always put them in the dishwasher (too or bottom rack) and the finish is as good as the day I got them. They’re used once a week or more for noodles, eggs, rice, etc. Considering buying another pair for the other house.

When I saw this, I knew I HAD TO HAVE IT! I fancy myself a "ramen aficionado" and always hated eating it from regular soup bowls. I am also a cat person, so this was intuitive for me to buy. Having used it multiple times, I really like the chopstick holes which allow me to rest them there when I'm not using them. Another thing I really like is the amount it holds, about 1 hearty serving. The beautiful artwork is the crown on top. Overall, I would recommend this highly not only as a personal gift, but for others as well

I bought this for my ramen-loving teen daughter as a birthday gift. She loves it and uses it frequently. It makes a really cute gift. We do handwash this so we don't have any issues with the dishwasher harming it.

item was more beautiful than picture. purchased from amazon warehouse. one of the chopsticks was broken, but the price was worth a loss of a chopstick!!!!!! would definitely purchase more of these bowls !

I bought 5 of these. One for each of my daughters Friends as Xmas gift. They make ramen every time they sleep over so thought they should each have a bowl. They loved them!
