Made easy work of removing a stubborn, seized bearing!
I have been working on a project Stihl FS88 powerhead I got off eBay that said the engine was seized. I jumped in despite the high probability it had a seized piston ring and when I started working on it, I found I could make the engine rotate with a breaker bar but it was really fighting rotation. After some digging, I found the rear ball bearing on the crank was really seized up and it looked like the back end of the powerhead had been in water at some point, probably causing the seized bearing. Well, once I got the powerhead disassembled, I found that bearing was fused to the crankshaft pretty badly. Normally, you can just throw it in a freezer and that will do it, but not this time. I used to have a bearing splitter from HF that I used often for front wheel bearing races to get the inner race off the hub of a FWD vehicle, so I thought maybe I could find an inexpensive one that might do the job this time and found this. When I got it, I put it to immediate work on said bearing. Hot dang! It took a bit of oomph at first to get it to move, but it peeled right off after that. Made removing that bearing a piece of cake and made what once was a tough job easy peasy! Heck yeah!!!! For the money, this is dollar for dollar one of the best investments you can buy for your tool collection. It is one of those tools you probably won’t use often, but when you need it, you NEED it!!!! Save yourself the hassle of waiting in the middle of the project. If you are thinking about this now, just buy it and have it for when you need it. Because eventually, you will. Trust me! And it will make life so much easier when that time comes. Take it from someone who has been there more times than I can count. It is so much better to buy a tool when you don’t need it but see the need for it eventually and have it when that time comes. My only regret from this is having to get one again. That HF kit paid for itself so many times over the years and I thought I could part with it when I moved halfway across the U.S. I won’t make that mistake again!!!!

Good for the price but you have to shop around
This same kit is sold under many names, in different color boxes on amazon, probably 17 different listings all with different prices. If you get it for the lowest price it is worth the cost. Absolute junk compared to Snap on but less than a tenth of the price.

Do NOT buy this product or any similar product in the $40-50 range.
The bearing separator I bought was made of weak metal. I don't dare call it "steel." The tool would not come close to sliding under the bearing as its clamshell edges were too blunt. Tightening the tool to compel it to slide under the bearing resulting in the tool to become EVEN MORE blunt with obvious "crunch damage." I tried to modify (sharpen) the tool edge with a file. The edge seemed to fit under the bearing to some slight degree but upon tightening the tool, one of the two tightening bolts' threads gave out...stripped. Before modifying this tool with a file, I had planned on returning this product to Amazon. But then I foolishly tried to modify it, failing to realize just how weak the tool's metal is and how lame the tightening bolts were. So, I just wasted $40 some dollars. In fact, I will bet that NONE of those $40-50 range bearing separators are any better than the one I bought. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. It is just another sad case of "You get the level of quality, you pay for." Or better yet, "Buyer beware!" Amazon should take these cheapo bearing separators off their product list to stop selling them. It seems that a person has to spend $130 or greater to get a quality product but I am reluctant to try this type of tool again. If it were possible, I would give this product "minus-five stars." I am considering giving Amazon the same rating for selling this junk.

Good Quality but nothing special.
Puller is deccent. It functions ok. The Threads are not soo great but what do you expect for a $30 bearing puller. It functions as it should. It gets 4 stars because it said next day delivery and it did not ship out until the day it was supposed to be delivered and i NEEDED it on time which is the main reason i choose this one.

Served purpose
I just needed this to remove some small bearings/rollers from a piece of exercise equipment and it worked just fine. There’s reviews on here saying it’s not heavy duty enough, soft metal, etc. This will probably be the only time I ever use this thing. I think for the average homeowner that uses this once in a blue moon, it’s perfectly fine. If you’re needing this on a regular basis for more heavier duty bearings, spend the money and get something from a reputable brand. It’s Chinese made but probably comparable to something you’d find at harbor freight. For the average homeowner this is fine.

Done the job
Not sure how long it’ll last but it seems to be of a decent quality and unless you are using it several times a day every day I’d say you’ll get you r moneys worth out of it. I can see it being handy for a long time for me as it did the job of removing a landrover discovery propshaft centre bearing for me…. Don’t expect to apply massive amounts of pressure with the screw threads when using it to pull off a bearing but apply pressure the tap bearing with a suitable hammer to use shock as well and this tools will last well, in other words if not abused it will be fine 👍
