Definitely worth the money!
Just what the doctor ordered. I just got this along with the filter holder, but so far, so good. They work as expected. This will allow me to change filters much more easily and quickly than the old-school thread system.I was concerned that they might be easily knocked off. It *could* happen if you bump into something at just the right angle, but the filter holder sits down into a recessed area in the lens adapter, so a lateral strike isn't likely to knock it off. The magnetic attraction between the two seems about right; not too strong for easy removal, but not so weak that it would be bumped off. If you're concerned about it, I'd recommend keeping the lens hood in place. The adapter and holder are designed to allow the lens hood to be put on and removed easily anyway, so the hood should provide adequate protection.I would definitely recommend this and the filter holder if you have a habit of switching filters often. They will save you a lot of time and hassle.

Convenience Costs
These things aren't cheap but man the convenience they add to a camera is astounding. I do a lot of wedding videography where moving between indoor lighting and outdoor direct sunlight happens 100x on the day of filming. The Xume system is invaluable to me. When these are coupled with a high quality variable ND filter, it's so easy to quickly adapt to lighting changes and allows me to easily use one expensive filter on various cameras. Lots cheaper than buying a filter for each camera or lens. Highly recommend this system.

Lens cap does not fit tightly
Works great and the magnetic coupling is very strong and I don't imagine any situation that the filter would come off. But the lens cap doesn't fit very well on it and it does easily fall off.

Works as Stated. Excellent investment.
This product has been around for several years, from my best recollection. I've finally got around to trying it and can only say one word -- Wow! This is an excellent product and works, just as the company claims. I've bought enough for my two 77mm lenses. I'm going to purchase a unit for each of my lenses. It's a great investment.I have noticed some vignetting when mounted on my 16-35mm lens. The 24-70mm seems OK. I'll probably send back the unit that I purchased for the 16-35.

The 67mm does not hold my breaktrhough filters
Simply put this adapter is of no use on a breakthrough ND filter. I have not tried it with any other brand.

Need step-up ring to ensure no vignetting for video for wider lens.
I shoot video with a GX85 with a Panasonic 8-18mm (MFT) [16-36mm FF] that has a 67mm thread and use a brass step-up ring to avoid vignetting with a Freewell 77mm VND and the Xume adapters. No issues for video (both 1080p & 4K) , but it does vignette with photos (4:3), but I would think photographers would rather use fix NDs which would be thinner than most VNDs, in general. Not sure how these will hold up over time, but love the functionality. Just a mere second or two to pop on or off any filter with the matching adapter ring. In run-and-gun situations, it's comes in handy walking to/from a bright environment and popping on/off a VND and one great benefit is you can position the arrow on the VND so it's always visible. No more carefully threading and screwing on a filter and not having sight of the arrow when you need to be recording and trying to determine exact position for stopping down. Freewell VND has arrows on both sides, so that's less of an issue, but there are others that don't.Overall, great for my needs, but probably not for photographers with the same equipment.

Great idea. Still needs work.
The Xume system is super-convenient and easy to use but there are a couple of flaws. First, you cannot stack filters. Once a filter is in place, additional filters will not hold magnetically. This isn’t a huge issue for me but it is a bit annoying. Second, my Fuji lens caps don’t fit on the Xume lens adapters, even when the lens adapter isn’t a step-up or step-down. I’m sure Xume will sell me a lans cap that works with their adapters, but the Xume system is already quite pricey. This is very annoying.

Xume MFXLA67 Lens Adapter 67mm, Black, Compact
Nice idea. However, I can see where some of the fall down reviews are coming from. When you put this on your lens, you cannot have a protective UV filter on, because it creates too much of a gap that might cause lens flares. One annoying thing is that, with the adaptor on, your lens cap may not fit properly. I've had my lens cap fall off a couple of times with this adaptor on.

Causes vignetting
Installed the Xume lens adapter on top of the UV filter on my Canon EF-S 18-135mm lens and immediately noticed some vignetting at 18mm. After adding the filter adapter, the combined thickness of the lens and filter adapter was roughly 6.5mm causing vignetting up to about 28mm before I even added a filter.I had planned to use the Xume adapters in conjunction with my 67 to 77mm step-up ring so I could use my 77mm filters inside my lens hood. With the filter adapter mounted on my step-up ring, I was able to drop the step-up ring onto the lens adapter with the lens hood installed so in this regard it worked perfectly. Ironically, the combined assembly of Xume lens adapter + Xume filter adapter + step-up ring + filter resulted in the front of the filter extending so far forward the lens hood actually didn't offer much protection from flare.

No more cross threading
Just what I needed for my lens. I found I was taking more time trying to thread on the filter than it was taking me to take the picture. With this all it takes is have the filter near and click, the magnet takes hold. PerfectI only gave it 4 stars because the regular lens cap no longer works and the 72mm lens cap is not carried by Amazon Canada. I had to order it from the states
