These are not 10% as the search claims.
They are 5% not 10% as the search shows. But they do serve the purpose. I don’t know why they show up when you search for 10% benzol peroxide wash.

Good Stuff
I bought PanOxyl on a whim in a state of desparation. My (adult) acne has been getting out of control and I needed something that would provide results. I have been using this about every other day for a month now and here is what I have experienced...First off, it doesn't dye your skin, your hair or your towels. I use it in the shower so I can apply it and rinse it off completely without worry. It took about a week for me to notice any results (but that's better than waiting a whole month right?) My current acne started to reduce redness and irritation. My skin, particularly on my forehead was less oily but one major CON to this, is it WILL dry out sensitive areas of the skin. For me, it was around my mouth and chin. Very dry, chapped, irritated skin for about 5 days. Aweful. To remedy this, I simply stopped applying the PanOxyl to my mouth/chin area and continued to use it in the problem areas, and about 3 times a day would moisturize the irritated are. Worked like a charm and I'm back to normal.Overall, this stuff is great. It does what it is supposed to. Just know what areas of your skin are sensitive. The areas that are usually dry and flaky, avoid those areas. Or just use it every other day or so. It worked very well for me and I feel much better not having to hide my acne blemished face.

Great for acne, but use with care!
I'm 36 and struggled with acne for 25 years now. What works best for me is a benzoyl peroxide wash once per day (typically night, after makeup removal), and salicylic acid wash as an exfoliator the other wash (morning). I use a 1.0 retinol 3x per week now, for fine lines and scarring, which is why I stick to a 4% - to avoid excessive peeling. I encourage all friends - especially teens - to try this cleanser because it quickly takes care of the acne bacteria and prevents breakouts. It's a foamy wash so a little bit goes a long way. I think it does still bleach towels despite a reformulation but it's a small price to pay for clearer skin. NOTE: when you start a cleaner like this for the first time, you may actually break out worse because it is so effective at bringing out all the bacteria and acne-sebum. Be patient and gentle, it will go away! If you use the 4% for more than 6 months and find breakouts aren't completely eliminated or dramatically reduced then I suggest the 10%. It's too harsh for me at this point in my life but I sure wish this stuff had been OTC when I was a teen!

Updated: Reformulated - NOT improved!
update: wow, I was angry, wasn’t I? Five years later, I didn’t switch brands, I’m still using the product. It doesn’t lather all that well most of the time, sometimes it does, but mostly no. The problem with that is that it leaves my skin feeling like there is residue from the product or my skin has not been degreased, for lack of a better way to put it.I have also noticed that the first 10 uses out of a new tube regularly seem stronger, more concentrated. Could the active ingredients settle? I always assumed the consistency/concentration was the same throughout, but when I start a new tube it definitely cleans & medicates my skin more.Original review:Reformulated in Jan 2018 - horrible. Super runny, no lather. Seems like a ploy to get you to use 2-3x as much product each wash as it just flops everywhere when you try and squeeze a little amount out. My breakouts are back to what they were before. The old formula had pretty much cleared me up. One week with this new one and I’m back to being self-conscious again. I’m going to scour local drugstores for the old version and if I can’t find it, switch brands.
