Fantastic! Can’t wait for the next in this series!!!
Sara Jane Stone is an Avon Romance writer I recently discovered during a live chat through Avon’s Facebook page. She is amazing, her talent for writing passionate scenes, heartwarming love, and describing the nature around you engages your mind fully. Sara has a great deal of knowledge and depth that she brings to her characters to make this book come alive and feel very real. There is romance, loyalty, strength and even a level of cute she intertwines in the pages. I was unable to put the book down even with the gift of at least ten new books I received recently. I had to finish it and know if they would come together or not. A great start to this series!Georgia has survived the worst, she has watched people die, struggled to survive herself, and now vows to live to the fullest. After her time in Afghanistan Georgia comes back to her safe haven to truly live her life and feel every sensation. Her bother and his best friend are being helpful and supportive of her near death stunts but she has saved the best for last. Georgia has been drawn to her brothers best friend Eric since she was young, she followed after the boys as often as she could. Always hoping Eric would see her as a women and not just a friend. As they grew up their friendship had grown too, now she lives with him as the nanny to his nephew. Georgia knows it now or never… she has to make her move!Eric knows Georgia is still suffering nightmares, PTSD, and even more from her time in the Army. He promised her brother he would watch over and keep her safe. He gave her a job to keep her busy and help her to stay grounded. She is amazing with his nephew who has grown attached to her, but then again who wouldn’t? Georgia was gorgeous, smart, brave, and very determined to live her life on her terms. Eric has loved her and wanted her since junior high, but he also knows the difference between right and wrong. It was right to take in his nephew after his sister died, it was wrong to touch his best friends sister. Georgia had always been a strict ‘hands off’ policy for his, this didn’t stop his brain from conjuring fantasies of her though. All goes according to his planes, Eric is handling his baser instincts until Georgia drops her towel. He is only a man after all…You will have to read this titillating book to find out if Eric and Georgia can put their fears and pasts aside to finally discover the one thing worth fighting for-Love!

Against all odds....
He's a large 6'2" imposing man...a brick wall of solid muscle with his short black hair and piercing blue eyes, and he's been best friends with her brother, Liam, since the first grade. He now owns the largest timber company in the Pacific Northwest...building it into the multi-million dollar business it is today, and he's worked hard to make it a priority while dealing with so many changes in his life. The death of his sister and sudden parenthood to name a few. He's part business man and part lumberjack with a strong moral compass - - dedicated to commitment and obligation while dealing with abandonment issues. But now SHE'S home from the Army.. a changed woman, but he's got her number (or so he thinks). She's driving him crazy! Eric Moore is the kind of guy that follows all the rules and rule #1 is you leave your best friends' little sister alone.Twenty six yr. old Georgia Trulane is home safe and sound from her tour of duty in the Army. Home from a war zone...from Afghanistan. But how did a person move from the atrocities of war to a normal day-to-day life? She has a burning desire to experience life with an adrenaline rush that proclaims she was alive! She refuses to think of the many friends she lost or the fear she harbors...and she refuses to stand idly by on the sidelines. She wants to LIVE. Georgia is able to handle the physical...the wild "rush" of excitement and near danger...she craves it like air. It's her defense mechanism...her way to cope. But she's running from the weak, vulnerable feelings of "emotions". She doesn't want to rely on anyone because she doesn't feel she's capable of giving emotionally. To fully commit to a relationship...so she keeps her protective walls built up.This is a fast paced, predictable and easy story with very little drama. It's pretty much "cut and dried" with all the minor elements needed to build a sweet romantic plot. There was no intensity, heavy drama or raw edgy romance. It's not a complex story and it never consumed me...I never connected to the characters (probably because it was so fast paced...I dunno). She loves/seduces him...he responds...then she pushes him away. He loves/wants her but for his inane reasons and excuses, runs away from her. And on it goes until it's over. There were numerous deep tacit messages; dealing with PTSD and feelings of survivors guilt. The need to feel worthy of living, deserving happiness etc. Abandonment issues....The author did well laying out the foundation and articulating her story. It just wasn't a story for me. It never captivated me and the ups/downs of the H/h chase became tedious and frustrating.

I've wanted you for so long it feels criminal!
I've said it before, and I will say it again - the perks of being an Avon Addict are tremendous. I came across Sara Jane Stone in a conversation with a fellow addict, and knew I had to try the series. I have read books where the men are dealing with their demons from war, but never from a female's POV. An interesting take indeed.Meet Georgia Trulane. Sister to one Liam Trulane. Served in the Army and was deployed to Afghanistan. Home and unsure as to what she wants to do with her life as a civilian - she signs on to be a Nanny to long-time friend and her brother's BEST friend,Eric Moore's nephew.Meet Eric. Part businessman, part rough lumberjack - it was a potent combination. He is cautious with every stolen glance and interaction. A difficult task when his desire is down the hall in his home. The feeling is a mutual one.Georgia is all about feeling alive, and Eric refuses to be just a thrill or a challenge she needs to conquer."This is more. Can't you see that? I've wanted you for so long it feels criminal."Sara weaves a complex story of friends who have grown up together - know each other's weaknesses and flaws - but are seeing each other in a new light. You know these characters need to be together, but they each have "bears" they need to conquer before they can truly give themselves to their relationship.A wonderful start to what I am sure is going to be an amazing series featuring strong women and the men who love them.

interesting sensual romance
Full Exposure: Book One: Independence Falls, Sara Jane StoneReview from jeannie zelos book reviewsI enjoy romance that has just that bit more plot that a simple boy meets girl and they live HEA...and this one had an interesting slant, the heroine is an ex solider. Of course that brings with it some mental trauma, no-one can see their colleagues killed and not suffer some kind of mental problems. So Georgia is now working as a Nanny for her brother’s best friend, looking after his nephew. She loves the job, but has the problem that she’s also loved Eric since she was a teen. Of course as men often are he’s oblivious, but then the odd thing is – he’s also got feelings for her. Of course he won’t act on them for various reasons, his muddled background, shuttled from parent to parent depending on their current partners etc. Then there’s the fact she’s his best friend's little sister and he feels protective, plus Liam would be furious – mainly because he thinks and Eric agrees - that Georgia is still too fragile from her Service traumas. Georgia has been living life on the edge since she left the Services, seeking highs and Liam and Eric think that's because she hasn’t coped well with the things she’s been involved in. She won’t talk about it to anyone, keeping it all inside and she’s been having horrific nightmares. Now she’s decided enough holding back – she wants Eric, he wants her she’s finally realised – and she’s going for it. Its one step forward and two back, and while they’re having some hot and sensual encounters, making progress from her point and doing what he shouldn’t from Eric's view there are other problems to contend with. Eric owns a logging company, where Liam is his trusted right hand man, and there’s been a huge forest fire which is under investigation by officials. That's an added problem that causes difficulties all round. Its a question of long loves finally getting their time – but with a slew of problems accompanying them that need to be sorted before a happy ending can result. I found the mental problems Georgia has really interesting. It must happen all too often, soldiers see and experience things that affect them adversely and they have to learn to live with them. Things seen and done can’t be changed, but its hard for the person concerned to adapt. They don’t want pity or sympathy but help and understanding and I guess they don’t get it too many times. Throw in the mix the work problems, and the friendships and its a romance that has lots of interesting points, along with some smoking sexual tension and hot sensual interludes.Stars: Four, and interesting and sensual read.
