So amazing
I didn't know what to expect when buying this but this has some very insightful information into space along side some really beautiful photos, and if science is more your speed there's even some stuff on information such as the string theory.

My husband recommends this book
Bought for my husband as he loves all things Astronomy. He is very taken with it. Very informative book with detailed maps of the surface of each planet, photos and very detailed information about each planet. It's a large weighty book but for anyone seriously into Astronmy it will be an invaluable source of information.

Lovely book but marks on cover
I read the reviews before I bought this book. Some of the reviewers only gave one star because the cover was either damaged or marked. I took the risk knowing that I could return the book. Lo and behold the book arrived with marks on the cover, just as if a wrapping robot had greasy digits. This was easily fixed with a cotton swab, which my wife uses to remove makeup, and some surgical spirit. The book is now in perfect condition. The pictures and written material are first class and ideal for a beginner studying for astronomy exams or just an amateur like me who goes out every night, when there are no clouds, to look at light polluted skies in the city with binoculars. Buzz Aldrin wrote the introduction. 5 stars for the writing and the pictures. 1 star for me for finding a solution to the greasy cover. No need to send it back and the book is 5 stars as far as value for money is concerned. Ordered on the evening of 30th December and arrived next day without prime - 5 stars for that.
