Laura Ashley - King Quilt Set, Reversible Cotton Bedding with Matching Shams, Home Decor for All Seasons (Rowland Grey, King)

I knew I loved this quilt the minute I saw it. It went well with the paint color of our bedroom and the design wasn't too geometrical that you couldn't put other patterns with it. I however didn't like the price, but the whole "you get what you pay for" comes to mind.That being said, when I received this (literally 10 minutes ago) I opened it up, and noticed the tag had been cut off of the quilt, which lead me to inspect the whole thing, to make sure it wasn't a return or there wasn't some huge stain on it. I didn't see any stains, but I did see where a tiny part of the thread is red (see the photos). It isn't that big of a deal to me, I just kind of feel that if I'm paying for a $80 quilt set, that shouldn't be there.This is without saying that I haven't washed it yet, as I'm waiting for our furniture to be delivered and I'll wash it then or closer to then. I will update my review if anything changes during the washing phase.

I bought this blue quilt set in king size. I also bought the European sham set. It appears the reviews are shared between the two. This is a beautiful quilt set. The blue, at least on mine, is a grayish blue. I have zero gray in the bedroom and my walls are tan. My accent color in the room is dusty blue, and the quilt looks fabulous. It's well made, and a decent weight - perfect for summers in the South, and we just toss a plain white comforter on top in the winter. I washed in on gentle and dried in on low at a laundromat. I was nervous, based on a few other reviews, that it would shrink so much it wouldn't come down to the bottom of the 11.5" mattress, but I have almost 2" to spare on each side. (If you have a super tall mattress, this may be a concern ... might have to cheat on the side facing the wall.) I do think most quilt manufacturers these days assume you'll have a bed skirt.The Euro shams are very well made and have a great zipper (see photo). They are a bit boring, though. But LISTEN up: the Euro shams look great in the Amazon photo, but that bed is NOT a king - probably a Full. The 2 shams (filled) looked silly on our king size bed. We decided we'd either have to buy a third Euro sham and insert, or forget it. We decided to forget it, and I'm going to make a few toss pillows from the shams, so BEWARE if you have a king bed.The blue quilt set is calming to look at, and not too feminine that guys would dislike it. We're very happy with our new bedroom!

Very nice, light weight quilt. I personally add an additional blanket at night but my boyfriend does not on his side. Just depends on personal preference. The color is perfect, (matches picture ) I wanted a light fresh looking color to off set the dark purple in the mountain mural and I like the contrast this provides to brighten the room... the stitching does go all the way through the blanket which is a big deal to me because I absolutely hate the "quilts" and comforters that don't have this feature and after one wash the filling is all lumped in one corner ( I wash my bedding often).. we are using this as our summer blanket I would definitely need more warmth for the winter months. But that might just be me. The reverse side offers a second option that is nice as well if you wanted to switch it up. I would buy this item again! * side note* I did purchase a king size quilt for our Queen bed... I always do this no matter what because I like extra covers! I also have it on our bed sideways in the picture because I just like the way it fits better that way.

I had a lavender version of this LA quilt for literally 10+ years. It washes well, construction was sturdy and held up to cats w claws, camping, oxy clean spot cleaner, ... it’s a medium weight quilt good for summers, spring, fall. In winter I put a fleece blanket under. I like the reversible pattern option. This item does not shrink and can be washed on warm and dried on air dry.I recently purchased the green print and it’s the same great quality. Highly recommend this item.

The color was true to the photo, look at their darker photograph as the color is a beautiful blue-not bright but not grayish. (Note our walls are painted “Sweet Dreams“ by BM so it’s a blu w/green tinge).The weight is perfect for all weather.Washing: I am a stickler for following instructions and cleanliness. So in the daylight photo is after it’s initial washing paired with white sheets (always wash before you use something). Evening photo is after 2nd washing (week 2) paired with ivory sheets. The Ivory sheets coordinated best as the white was too bright. But if you notice, after 2 washes the quilt (coverlet) hasn't lost an iota of coloring it is also of such good quality that not a single stitch has become undone as is the case with inferior quilts.I would definitely recommend.

L love this comforter! Fits my king size bed perfectly, maybe a little room for shrinkage. I hate when you buy a king size and it doesn't cover the mattress but this one covers nicely. The color blue is perfect for my room. I put it with an oriental rug that is mainly red but has blue in it and the color is a match. Not a baby blue, not sure how to describe it but it's a really pretty color. Happy with the purchase. I love nice bed spreads and comforters, usually spend much more than this one costs but this one is just as nice as comforters I've previously purchased from Pottery Barn and other high end catalogs.

I really wanted to LOVE this set. I actually like the brand, but this is just ok. Originally it fit fine, it did shrink quite a bit after the first wash, although it did wash up great, but now it is too short on the sides for my queen bed. The color is a blue/green and it's nice my issue is I expected white and it's not it's like a cream. I had originally hoped to pair this with another white quilt for a layered look but the cream throws the whole thing off. As other's stated it is thin but that doesn't bother me, and the shams are nice. 3 stars because of major shrinkage and the cream color just look like a dirty tea stain.

I like the pattern a lot it’s soft and beautiful ...What I didn’t like is that it shrunk right after first washAlthough followed proper washing instructions on d label but it’s ok still will keep this as it’s beautiful and blends very well with my room decor

This quilt is more beautiful in real life than on the photo. It’s elegant, comfortable, light to make the bed but heavy enough for that cozy sleep. Love this so much!

The color of this quilt set is not as shown in the photo. It is not blue and white, but rather a dull greenish-blue (medium dark aqua?) and cream. I thought it would work in my blue and white bedroom on the basis of the photo, but will be returning the set now.

The coverlet is great but........it took 3 washes and 48 hours outdoors to remove the very strong chemical smell

Pretty quilt and generously sized for my king bed. I’m using it as a summer spread on my bed and it’s a perfect weight for that as I generally sleep fairly warm. Happy with quality as well.
