Superior Beginner Backpacking Tent!
If you are looking to get into a lighter 2P tent for either 1 person or 1 person and a dog or child, this is the tent to get!! I purchased this tent in April ‘21, and I've taken this tent on multiple trips now, over 70 miles on the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin. Big Pros are easy setup, simple design, easy to guy out the lines, zero condensation (living through humid WI weather currently), great packability, well-constructed, and ok space for 1 person. If you like lots of room for 1 person, need a lighter 2P tent, and are on a budget... Paria Outdoors has your answer here, and I like the annoying yellow color lol. It’s a classic! If you're into photos or video, it will stand out in contrast to a natural background well. It is 100% a backpacking tent and two 23” Klymit sleep pads fit easily side by side with a few more inches. Most recently, my 10 yr old son and I slept in it on trail, and we both had enough room. Everything works well on this tent, the design is decent, and has good stitching and seam-sealing.Big Cons are weight, only 1 door (only really applicable if using with 2 ppl or more), and a small front vestibule. I would not trust the weights ANY company lists on their website. It’s always different once you get yours at home. That said, I ditched the companies ground cloth in exchange for plain jane clear 7mil plastic sheeting (much lighter). I also don’t use all the stakes included with this tent. I use 9 stakes, and in lighter weather… you could ditch even more stakes if you only use the mesh bathtub and GC. With the mesh bath tub, plastic sheeting, and the rain fly… on my scale it’s 1.24kg (2.73lbs). That DOES NOT include poles and stakes. Altogether, it’s 1.84kg (4.05lbs) with my GC mod and using less stakes. Hey, that is a really good weight for a budget tent that is well made!!! Paria Outdoors, I would remove the UL designation here because 4lbs in not UL. But it packs down super tight when you take out the poles and stakes, placing those item somewhere else in your pack. All in all, I would absolutely buy this tent again! Excellent tent to get you out there and more!!

A smart purchase for the backpacker who demands quality but doesn't want to overpay. 5-star all the way...
I looked, watched, researched and read a ton of material before I made this purchase. I wanted/needed a good lightweight backpacking tent, but I can't really drop $500 to get a Big Agnes or one of the other big names. I'm a big guy (6'1" 250), so a one-man tent is not happening for me. I'm willing to carry a little extra weight to get the comfort and space that I need. That being said, I'm really surprised at how lightweight this tent is. I'm blown away, especially at this price. Not having instructions was new, but I had the link to the video instructions before the box arrived from Amazon. I would definitely put it together at the house outside a few times while watching the video. I put it together once at the house (inside) and it went up easy. I laid the fly on and didn't stake or put out the guylines. In hindsight I wish I would have done it outside a few times so I remembered the staking/guyline order a little better. I performed a little trial and error in the field. It really is a breeze to put up, easier than any tent I have ever had. The materials are really top notch, the zippers work really well and it's really pretty roomy inside. I was solo in the tent for my first 2 nights, but added my daughter the last night and I still had plenty of room. Additionally, there was plenty of room for my gear. The vestibule is a good size, but really probably only big enough for boots and smaller packs. The air moves well even with the fly on and I didn't have any major issues with condensation. I went through one pretty good thunderstorm and stayed dry. When it was time to go, it packed up easy and fit in the bags really well (with room to spare). I've had a few tents where I about had a hernia trying to re-pack it all in the bag, so this was really nice.4 days of me and 2 days of a toddler and 4 year old tracking dirt in and wearing their shoes in it and not a single issue. And as a testament to the strength and quality of materials, my 4 year old ran full speed into the guyline....and the guyline won. I was worried about it tearing, but it was just fine. Whew!!I am very happy with my decision and I'm happy knowing that I have a great backpacking tent for years to come. I'd certainly recommend this tent to others.

Worth it.
So this by far isn't a roomy tent. I took it out this last weekend for an overnighter and found that it was barely able to fit me and my 12 year old son. The bivy wasn't large enough to put our back packs (2 regular size ones) but it was okay to out our shoes in. We pitched it in the sand so the stakes didn't hold like we wanted, and that meant we had a lot of condensation built up the next morning. I was dry but my son's bag was a bit wet. I'd like to try it again on firmer ground to see how it vents, if it vents better my rating will only go up. I knew what size it was when I bought it and I even set it up in my living room before taking it out. I knew what I was getting into. Same thing for the door on the end of the tent, rather on the side. This tent is a solid, light weight tent that will serve my son well for when he goes out camping. The yellow fly seemed to attract bugs in the evening, but that is to be expected. The yellow color meant that we had lots of light in the tent later in the evening, than other brown or darker tents. To be clear I am only giving it 4 stars because of the venting issue. It is very easy to set up, the materials are quality and if I can get the venting thing figure out I would give this a 5 star rating.
