Professional write up. Very useful resource for cyber forensics

just started reading it..seems to be good

Half the size of the official ISC2 guide, could have dealt concepts in more depth. Not as great as the CISSP book by Mrs Shon Harris.

Very informative book which will, hopefully, get me through the exam. The only issue is the lack of practice questions on the CD (but at least there are questions to have a stab at!). I'll give it a final star once I've passed.

The contents of this book are still valid and function well in imparting a vendor-neutral, foundational knowledge of computer forensic processes. However, (ISC)² has discontinued the CCFP certification itself.

(ISC)2 hat die Certified Cyber Forensics Professional-Zertifizierung leider eingestellt, daher kann ich nicht sagen, wie gut das Buch auf die Prüfung vorbereitet hätte. Es taugt aber auch einfach als Überblick über das Thema digitale Forensik. Technisch geht es nicht allzu tief, es werden nur ein paar Standardwerkzeuge eher exemplarisch vorgestellt. Mein subjektiver Eindruck war, dass der Autor die Themen, die er vertieft, eher danach aussucht, worüber er gern schreibt, oder wozu er schon etwas in der Schublade hat (Kryptographie), und nicht so sehr danach, was in einem Buch über digitale Forensik stehen sollte, dewegen ist die Darstellung aber auch noch nicht schlecht. Das Kapitel über virtuelle Maschinen und ihre forensische Behandlung fand ich tatsächlich interessant. Ansonsten lernt man aus dem Buch eher etwas über Standards, Vorgehensweisen und Qualitätssicherung. Ich habe das Buch als Ergänzung zum CHFI gelesen, und da gab es schon ein paar Punkte, die mir neu waren. Es liest sich schnell, und es liest sich gut.

I would have expected more code samples, scripts and technical references, and, I hope this information might be made available through a website or another edition.
