Interior will not fit legal sized documents

The description says: Exterior size is 15.5'' x 11.8'' x 5.12''. Internal size is 14.8'' x 10.6'' x 3.9''. I purchased this for fire protection for legal sized documents. My 14" documents will not fit inside. Waste of my time. The free return locations are nowhere near me, so I either have to pay to return it or drive a half hour. Considering it is not as described this is especially irritating.
