I can't even express in words how bad the touchpad is on this, I wish I never installed it. It's not the quickest thing to install, and you have to completely disassemble the whole laptop to replace it, had I known the touchpad would be unusable, I would have swapped it out with my original, now I'm stuck until I can find the time to completely tear down my laptop again, to fix a part that was supposed to be an upgrade. Absolutely terrible. If you buy this to repair the palmrest portion of your laptop, it seems to be ok, but I strongly urge you to either purchase one that does not include the touchpad, or remove the touchpad, and use your original. I can't believe they sell this product, it's that bad.

Had a number of issues with this replacement.The part when it ships is sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard and placed in an envelope. Then it's shipped in a second envelope. It is unclear when it happened but this is inadequate support and it arrived bent. Took some time to return it to flat but it was not a prohibitive effort.This palmrest arrives without most of the original grounding and insulation pieces. They need to be carefully pealed off the original and transferred to the replacement. Again, not difficult but I would have preferred to have received the replacement with these in place - would have been worth a couple dollars more. The original has a mesh screen over the inlet and outlet for the fan and it is not possible to transfer this to the replacement because the original screen is held in place by melted plastic. The new palmrest has the same locating pins but they're already melted so even if you are successful in removing the screen, it will not fit in place on the replacement. Not a big deal if your environment is clean but if you have pets that shed you will be cleaning hair out of the fan routinely.I encountered no issues with the fitment of the plamrest to the rest of the original pieces with the exception that the ribbon cable supplied with the touchpad is about a quarter of an inch shorter than the original. As such the cable supplied with the replacement palmrest is useless. The original cable fits fine.My one serious complaint about the palmrest is that the touchpad is awful compared to the original. It's so bad that I almost disassembled the laptop a second time just to swap the original touchpad back. The Lenbones touchpad is twitchy - mouse movement is erratic and the button presses have poor feedback to your fingers. Sometimes you barely touch the button and it registers and sometimes you have to press hard or press a second time. The texture of the surface of the pad is different from the original too - it's rougher.

This is perfectly matched and working fine.

Purchased as a replacement for my DELL Inspiron 15 5543. The insulating liners and the fan area perforated metal screen all missing from the assembly. The touch-pad does not function at all. Luckily, the original I had fit in the Lenboes assembly. The part itself matches the original case pretty well so all the components fit, however, for the price, the missing parts I mention should be included and should function.
