Dyna-Glo SP-KHW-095-I Replacement Wick w/Ignitor (95C6)

this is made in S. Korea, and they are well known for 18/10 stainless products and cotton/fiber products like this. the wig fits perfectly and it keeps up the consistent and even fire well. The Lowe's sell this at much higher price. the wick is plug and play. very nicely made in far better quality than those made in china. have been burning kerosene in my garage for my winter projects and this wig lit up well without fumes or smogs.

Worked out fine for a first time change of a kerosene heater wick. It did take a while to soak up the kerosene and when it lit it smoked on the first couple of start ups. After that things seems to settle in . Shipping was fine, it came on time. 4 stars only because it really took a long time to soak up that kerosene but then the the unit wasn't full either but maybe 1/3 full. It all worked out.

These wicks are a perfect replacement for our kerosene heater. Fits perfectly!Words of advice for the many people having problems with the wick not lasting, use clear kerosene!! Do not use the red dyed! It smells strong on the wicks die quickly. We used to only be able to get the red kerosene in our area and we replaced the wick every couple of weeks. Now we drive further and get the clear kerosene and the wicks last a very long time and one tank of the clear kerosene seems to last longer .

This wick works, but appears to be shorter than the original. This may be due to the positioning of the pins that are embedded in the wick body. It appears to be short by an eighth inch to one quarter inch. Burned the heater for about an hour with this wick in place. I works fine, but it can't be raised any higher. If I need a replacement wick, I will order this model because it is superior to other wicks I have attempted to use, but ended up discarding. I am not overly impressed with this particular wick at this writing.

It was easy to install and ready to go in a short time. The heart come apart with 6 bolts/screws and the old one drops out. The only thing that I would make sure is that the rivets stay in the holes when resembling. If you think that you do not need the piece that holds the bottom of the wick, think again. Now my heater is giving off wonderful warm heat.

For a fraction of the cost of a new kerosene heater, you can replace the wick. With heavy use, this should be done every two years or so. This is a quality product, but be aware that the replacement procedure is involved and not for the impatient. Many videos are available online to walk you through the process. Watch them carefully and follow them exactly.
