Face Down Recovery Pillow for Post Eye Surgery – Vitrectomy & Retinal Surgery Support with Adjustable Stand, Breathable Contoured Design, Soft Velvet Surface & Disposable Hygiene Covers

I appreciate the pillow's contoured shape, soft velvet cover and the resilient foam core, which provide a certain level of comfort. The option to use it with the adjustable-height stand/saliva catch pan is a nice touch for achieving a more comfortable position. The soft eye mask and eye protector shield are bonus features. However, I have encountered several issues that should be improved. 1. Core Material: I would have preferred a memory foam core instead of the current foam material. Memory foam would help alleviate hotspot pressure points and provide enhanced comfort. 2. Cover Quality: The product came with a 5-pack of wafer-thin "care pillow covers" that are reminiscent of disposable toilet seat covers. Unfortunately, these covers are scratchy and uncomfortable, often slipping out of place or sticking to my face due to perspiration. The ad mentioned a removable and washable velvet cover, but the absence of a zipper makes this impossible. This is a deal breaker! 3. Cushioning: I found the upper-midchest cushioning to be insufficient. It would have been beneficial if the pillow included a removable circular upper chest pillow to fit in the open space as indicated in the instruction sheet. 4. Stand Design: Lastly, the stand bottom/saliva catch pan is not securely attached to the stand frame/pillow. This design flaw makes it easy for the pillow/frame to detach, exposing bare metal adjustment screw heads that could potentially damage tabletops. I do not recommend this pillow.
