Maisy's Wonderful Weather Book: A Maisy First Science Book (A Maisy the Mouse Tabbed Board Book - For Toddlers, Preschoolers, and Preschoolers Ages 3-7)

AWESOME kid's book! Fun for adults, too.
Wonderful, well designed, well thought out, children's book. VERY educational PLUS offers the opportunity for quality time between parent or grandparent and child! I recommend this one over "Maisy's Castle," also by Lucy Cousins. I felt that the Castle book would be destroyed too easily and that the subject matter is not as educational as a book about weather. The fun and learning starts with the cover of the book. In the ad image, do you see the SUN near the tip of Maisy's nose? There is a wheel on the right edge of the cover. Move the wheel and the sun is replaced, in turn, by virtually every common weather phenomenon: rain, snow, etc. Each page spread offers some pop-up or other interactive movement and the opportunity to explore weather with your child or grandchild.

great!
Fun way for little ones to look at different types of weather. Definitely higher on the book shelf - a read together book - if you want it to last! Somewhat fragile flaps, etc, but so worth the patience!

Educational, interactive, fun and adorably cute!
Great book and well worth the price. The pop-ups and other interactive parts of the book are so super cute. Be careful if you have a kiddo that wants to pull the tabs too hard! This one is a little bit wordy for my 1 year old so we have to cut some parts out, but I like that she'll continue to grow with it and be able to interact with it better as she gets older.

My Daughter Loves It ... But the Tabs Tear Easily
Although the local bookstore doesn't carry Maisy (apparently her popularity waned), my 2 1/2 year old adores the Maisy books, and this is no exception. This book teaches weather concepts with pull tabs and spin wheels. Very engaging. The tabs and wheels, however, seem to be flimsy compared to some other popup books; the rainbow wheel at the end in particular. But if a toddler will sit down with a book and love the heck out of it, what's a few torn pages?!

Cute book!
This is a very cute book. My 4 year old LOVES Maisy. He typically memorizes every Maisy book that we get from the library in about a week! This one, with all of the moveable parts is easily a favorite. His favorite page is the windy page where he gets to make Maisy's hat fly off. He giggles about it every time! This is a book that I don't let 21 month old toddler play with unattended as I don't think it would hold up to her "enthusiasm," but once the child learns to be gentle, it is fantastic fun!

Why aren't there more of these books??
As all the other Maisy books, there are a huge variety of tabs and creative pop ups/moveables in this book. This, Maisy's moon landing, and Maisy's garden are by far my 2 1/2 year old son's favorite books since he was an infant, and he grows with the concepts in the books and gains a new appreciation for them every few months.

One of the best in the series, well made book
My son loves maisy. This one is the best in the maisy series. The pull the tab and extra features are not 'too much' like in some maisy books but just enough to excite kids and for them to enjoy. Plus, these features are really well designed and well made. Ideal age would be 3 or 4 yrs. The flaps and tabs may be too delicate and intricate for children below 3.

Funcional y divertido

super cute and engaging book for story time
My little one gets extremely excited for any book from the Maisy series but especially this one. He's quite young so I'm pretty sure he doesnt quite understand whats happening, but nevertheless the series of images are very fascinating to him. Seems like the perfect book to introduce your kid to the seasons. This book will definitely grow with my boy who is currently 7 months and I'm sure there will be new things for him to discover as he grows up with it.

Delightful Book!
Baby is 15 months old, so we haven't shown her this one yet - she's just learning to be reliably gentle with flaps, and this is a lot more complicated than flaps! But when my husband and I reviewed it for our bedtime story we were both surprisingly delighted by our first pull tab Maisy book. There's no narrative story, but it would be wonderful to look at with a child who is beginning to be interested in the different seasons and different basic types of weather.
