RONALD REAGAN: AN AMERICAN JOURNEY

Excellent portrayal.

Collection of speeches., some not highly publicized. I enjoyed. Reagan was a damn good president & leader.Now., am disappointed with the video quality of dvd. News & media footage washed out. Unfocused. With modern technology one would think producers would clean up old footage selected to be used in the presentation. ~Terry

I was fortunate enough to grow up when he was President of The United States. During the 80's life was so great and free-spirited I couldn't imagine how American could decline. I guess you really don't know what you have until it's gone.

I first became aware of our political system in the early '60s when Barry Goldwater was running for President. I liked him and listened to his speeches. Ronald Reagan introduced him and I was spellbound and voted for Goldwater. Even tho' he did not win, the message of these two men never left my heart and I have been a conservative Republican all these years. I was afraid whoever made this DVD would spin his message and try to disparage Reagan. This could not be done because it is mainly made up of his speeches in his own voice and words and his message resounds loud and clear. If you want pure Reagan, this is the DVD for you!!

I love how this documentary is compromised mostly of President Reagan's own words. We don't see men of President Reagan's character and courage much any more.

Probably because of time, some rather significant events are missing or barely mentioned (Grenada, attack on Libya). But overall this is a great documentary that really shows the spirit of the age and the Neo-Classical spirit of Reagan's heart. I would recommend this to any History class that wants to convey the Conservative revival of the 80s.

I lived during the Reagan presidency, one of the proudest times of our countries history. This documentary movie does an excellent and entertaining task of portraying the leadership of this great American President.

Thank God for leaders like President Ronald Reagan who remembered the importance of the constitution and that our government is suppose to be for the people.
