MONO Bass Guitar Sleeve Gigbag - Black

This is more of a gig bag than a case. That being said it provides more protection for my 77 jazz bass than any other bag I've owned. Top load is great for removing guitar say in the practice room where there's not a lot of room. Good padding and I like the neck cradle. Yes as other reviewers say I wish the pocket was bigger but I can squeeze a 2 1/2 inch binder in there. Takes a little work but it will fit. The clasp is a little weird but it works and you can open it with one hand. Case will stand against the wall alone when empty. Some reviewers said they have to retune after removing the bass from the sleeve. I don't see that as a problem. Who doesn't tune up when setting up. Its not like you're an octive off. Love the ring so you can hang the case on a hook when empty. Mine hangs on the back of a closet door out of the way when not in use. Is it perfect.....no....but as close as I've come to perfect for me in a gig bag...and you can't please everyone. One other thing...It looks great, top shelf, high class. Gave it 5 stars.

I really had trouble deciding to buy a $150 gig bag. But I did and here's why. I gig a fair amount (50-60 gigs/yr plus practices) and my first gig bag ($40-$50?) was fine for several years until the zippers started seizing up or breaking. Also, the clips for the back-straps began to detach spontaneously leaving my precious bass flapping around on my back. I think the point is, you get what you pay for. My old Fender bag was fine but wasn't up to years of gigs and practices. The MONO bag is new to me so I can't yet judge its durability but the padding (tail and neck) is impressive and the case itself feels like a higher quality than the Fender "luggage quality" exterior. The bag fits my Fender Precision or Jazz and G&L L-2000 just fine and the "hardware" (zippers, clips, strap, handles) feel like a different level of quality. For $150, they better! And I just can't carry the hard-shell cases anymore. I recommend the MONO. Update: Oct2025 Wow! 8 years later. the MONO bag is performing exactly as it did when purchased. Quality pays for itself.

It's a great case, overall. It's very light and has that little extra support over a regular gig bag. My only complaint is the flap that covers the zipper pouch. It serves no use and is just an extra thing to undo to get in and out the pouch. They call it "fashionable" but it's just annoying.

The high price for a gig bag could be a major concern for most potential buyers, but I must say that this gig bag is worth the price. The design alone is already a killer, but the build quality is absolutely perfect. The high quality material used is all stitched together with perfect seam work. The gig bag was a little bigger than what I had expected and what I am used to. However the extra cushioning and solid level of protection does not make this gig bag anything near being heavy. When worn like a backpack, the straps feel as solid as any Northface backpack on your back and the center of gravity feels perfect. There are some concerns regarding the buckle system, and I would have to say it was not a problem for me and it sure does look great.

Great Gig bag! Carrying 4-string Fender P or J depending on my mood; Neck suspension system is solid, and for a "gig" bag I was very surprised by the sturdiness of it. Slim profile is a plus and although the tuning pegs do impact some, it hardly enough to think any less of the bag (retune prior to playing anyway). LOVE the weight as well. Plenty of storage for what I need (cable, tuner, strings, occasional tablet, docs, etc). Other bags I own are the Gator ProGo and the Reunion Blues Continental. Very happy with both but they do take up some space and I sought something a bit lighter. Three great bags, but the Mono is my favorite right now.

Cases and especially gig bags just seem like an afterthought with both design and manufacturing, but here all the details of this bag come together to make a really premium feeling accessory to accompany a high-end instrument. (Or make your cheap guitar feel more impressive.) Two things to note, bass guitars are longer so this bag sticks up pretty far. If you’re already tall, then beware of new obstacles when walking. Thankfully it’s a really durable case. Also, the front flap hook is sharp, so I had to sand mine down a bit. I’d buy it again.

Worth every penny fits snug on back the high strap prevents it from banging into my calf when walking. Well built and super padded tons of room in the pocket enough to fit my Aguilar bass amp and cords.

Love the case, good protection. There is a downside to this case - there are not enough compartments. If you like to organize your gear, this case does not have a lot of option. Otherwise, this case is protective, light weight, and sleek looking.

Es un excelente protector para mí bajo eléctrico, confianza total para llevarlo de viaje, es amplio. Por pedir algo más el bolsillo debería estar mejor dividido. Está muy bien construido y cumple su función principal proteger.

A solid case, half way between a gig bag and a flight case which is what I wanted. I'm unsure about this great flap that folds over the storage pocket. See photos. Seems a bit over-designed. Once you have a couple of leads in the pocket the metal " thing" that slides into the loop to hold the flap down, doesn't slide in so easy. I suppose it gives an extra bit of padding but it feels unnecessary. You have a small compartment inside the pocket ( see 2nd photo) that's welcome but I'd prefer this on the outside of the case somewhere. When you've fastened the flap thing then realised you've not put your tuner away it's a pain in the ***e to have to undo everything again to put it away. A pity really, a good case but the flap and closing mechanism spoils it. I'm wondering how long I can put up with it before I cut it off !

I’m a professional player. Typically I play several gigs a week. My previous case was also made by Mono, and I used it for about 15 years. This case is a slightly different design, but it provides great protection for my bass. It’s quite a bit lighter than the old one, which Is fantastic! The front pocket is roomy enough for my iPad, page turning pedal, cables, tuner, adaptors, pens, pencils, etc. Mono cases are not the cheapest, but they are the best. Period.

Materiali di qualità eccellente ed ottima costruzione: zip, imbottitura, maniglie, interni ed esterni! Lo stile è molto bello, è comoda, la tasca anteriore ampia, molto imbottita e soprattutto resistente e impermeabile. E per giunta, presa ad un prezzo ottimo!

La migliore custodia che potevo scegliere per il mio basso a 5 corde. Curata in ogni dettaglio, ideale quando faccio serate in quanto la tasca anteriore contiene molte cose. Inoltre risulta essere abbastanza massiccia a riparo dagli urti. Felicissima di averla acquistata.
