Good replacement to Astro 1442 mandrels
Good replacement. Didn't feel any different than the ones I got with My Astro 1442. People complaining about the mandrel breaking are either not careful when unscrewing it after riveting or do not have the head in proper position for the size they are working with. If you are using a smaller size screw like M5 or 10-24 your head needs to be set as low as possible so the Mandel isn't being pulled past the compressed portion of the riveting nut when you are at the end of the setting motion. You can tell your setting is off if you Ihave to apply a lot of pressure at the end of the compression. It's an easy mistake to make, and one I made myself, which is why I had to get my replacement. Once I figured out the correct setting on the head, the process of settling the rivets did not take a lot of pressure and the rivets did not look like they were crushed on the inside. Test it out and get the feel of the tool on scrap material before you start using it on your application. Good luck.

Broke on the first use
I didn't put much pressure on it but it immediately snapped, trapping half of it inside the rivnut. Never had that happen before with similar tools.

Fits Cornwell nut setter
My buddy busted the spot welded nut inside the floor pan for his subarus driveshaft center bearing. There was absolutely no way to nut and bolt it because the spot welded nut was inside a cavity part of the floor pan amd would require some serious cutting or welding. My cornwell nut setter kit only goes to m8 so I noticed this piece looks quite familar and went ahead and ordered it. Its the exact same part but also an upgrade to M10. This and the big kit full of fasteners had the driveshaft bolted up to 40 - 50 ft lbs within minutes. What a deal, very happy with no tool man prices or waiting weeks

Breaks easily - not recommended
I should have used this sooner as I missed the return window. Having used rivnuts extensively I assumed those complaining about breakage did not understand how to adjust the tool properly. The very first time I used it the tool broke at the shank. The rivnut itself was still loose, so I know it wasn’t from too much pressure.

Broke again
I just broke my second 6/32 mandrel from this company. I'm not sure what the problem is, but it doesn't seem to matter how easy I am with them. Disgusted.

Fitment
These Mandrels fit my 14" TackLife tool perfectly. The Astro Pneumatic 1442 mandrels also fit my TackLife so these should fit the Astro Pneumatic tool as well.

Perfect fit but don’t use the small rivnut sizes
Fit my knockoff Astro rivetnut setter (“Tacklife”). Works like a charm. U need to practice a few times with your rivetnut tool to get the right force to apply. Easy to rip out the rivetnut threads u r trying to set. Small rivetnuts and any aluminum is very easily stripped! M3 is too small for the threads to hold onto. M6 or bigger. Remember, u r just trying to seat the rivnut.

Works great
Took a risk because I wasn't sure it would fit my Tacklife rivet tool. Happy to day that it does and works very well. I was trying to use the diy method, which did not work out at all, so I was glad to see these offered in the 3/8-16 size.
