Great movie, filled with suspense thrills and chills. great acting, This movie will not disappoint you.

This movie is so quirky but very realistic.......it's great!! You will love it! Sit back and just enjoy......so many great scenes.....I say the lines all the time in my daily life. Bought this movie for everyone in my family. It's about a lawyer who is cursed by a gypsy man to become thin and die. So he starts to lose weight....no matter what he eats, he can't gain weight. He starts to wither away and will basically die. So he is trying to reason with the old gypsy to remove the curse but he refuses. The guy playing the old gypsy man is great.....I quote him he is so memorable. Anyway, he enlists his friend to help with the gypsies and the movie turns up the heat. This is a great movie to have in your collection.

Great movie! It was delivered promptly, just as promised. We watched it right away and it played perfectly. If you like "Law and Order", it's fun to see the main character in "Thinner" as a younger man. I love Stephen King and this is one of my favorite movies made from his stories. A great classic for your collection!

Closed captioning is important for the hearing impaired. I had to keep adjusting the volume as I couldn't hear dll the conversations, and then it got super loud in action scenes. But overall, great movie.

The limit of what DVD players allow the movie to play other than that it was a good copy

Shipping was speedy and on time. THIS movie played well for me. I enjoy Amazon.com's accessibility and am thankful that I have a place to turn to when I want to find something that most stores don't carry anymore - like my favorite movies and books that are not necessarily the "current thing" or something being forced to me by mass media. I can always count on Amazon to provide me access to things that are otherwise hard to locate. :-)

I don’t like cussing and nudity but Steven King is good at horror.

A great King novel brought to life in film once again.

If you're thinking of buying the 1997 or 2001 Republic Pictures release (ASIN: 6304614187 and ASIN: B00005O439) or the 2006 Alliance Films release (ASIN: B000JFXRN8) . . . DON'T. Not only are these releases non-anamorphic (meaning they appear as a tiny window in the middle of your screen), but there's a horrible artifact of a vertical line that runs down the entire left side of the picture. Unwatchable. I don't know what era these transfers were made for, but no TV known to man could possibly render them. The only release worth buying is the 2015 Olive Films issue (called "Team Marketing" on Amazon Canada) with the brown cover (ASIN: B0084MVE7E). The Olive Films issue is excellent. All the others are the worst mess imaginable. I wouldn't blame the sellers for the trashy transfer . . . how could you expect every seller to watch every DVD they list? Just the same, the Olive Films / Team Marketing 2015 release is the only one worth buying. Run from all the others.
