These may interfere with emergency services channels - don't get fined!
Bar none, these are a phoenomenal value for 6 walkie talkies but be aware that (out of the box) these devices may interfere with emergency services frequencies and/or you may need a HAM license in order to legally use these. As such, I dont believe these should have been sold without the advisory and without the programing instructions (and software) necessary to ensure that these dont interfere with emergency services communications and get you into hot water - it's not worth the trouble.

Affordable but not cheaply made!
iPhone several baofeng products over the years and none of them have disappointed. This one is no exception. Picked these up for the kids to play with when we go camping. While we haven’t run them through their paces in the woods yet they link up to my other sets without any problem. We did give them to the kids for a car ride where my mother-in-law was driving one set of kids, and I had my oldest and the line of sight. Communication on it is substantial we never lost signal throughout the drive however we were always within a mile of each other.

Good Walkie Talkies with Clear Reception and Average Range for a Great Price
TDLR: Clear reception, average range, easy to use - for the price (right now they are $52) these are great I shot a short film and got a cheap pair of Cobras that boasted a 16 mile range, and on flat ground they did well at about a 1/2 mile. So, I tested these and the Cobras in the exact same manner in a hilly area. The range for both was basically the same, but the voice clarity of these are miles about the Cobras. If there are large buildings or hills between two units...reception isn't great, but the BAOFENGs could actually transmit and receive (albeit with some static) while the Cobras could not. The knobs and basic interface are great and they come with ear pieces and belt clips, both of which I didn't use. For the price these are an insanely great deal. If you work on a construction site, in a restaurant, or on a film set - basically anywhere where you're all in close proximity - these are ideal. For hunting and fishing they will be great unless hills block the radio signal. They're well built and easy to use. The only downside is the proprietary battery. p.s. Just make sure you get the USB-C version so you can charge without the base chargers.

They're cost effective, but not the best audio quality.
They work. The range is ok. But audio wise they aren't the cleanest transmission. I like the design of the body and choice of this kind of battery over using something like AAs or some small rechargeable battery you have to remove to charge. They are easy to use, but might have more features than the average user needs. But I will say they are definitely a cost effective way to have more than 2 people communicate over short ranges when lack of cellular devices is an issue.

A good basic way to communicate.
I got these because I was going ice fishing with some friends. The lake is large and we are spread out in different corners of the hard water. It's also pretty remote with limited cell phone service. We used these radios exclusively, chatting often the whole time. The batteries held up well. None of the radios were completely dead after 6 hrs on the lake, even in 25° weather. The range wasn't an issue, as we were on a flat lake with no obstacles. But I can say, at 3/4 mile distance, at the farthest, the reception was clear and voice quality was good. We all noticed that when you key the mic, you have a slight delay before you can talk, or it cuts off the first word you speak. It just takes a bit to get the hang of it, but as we used them it got easier. The radios worked well, and made communication in a remote area possible and even a little fun! The radios require some assembly, like the antenna, pocket clip and lanyard. But its pretty straight forward and only requires a small Phillips head screwdriver. Charging from about 25% battery to full averaged about 3 hrs, which is ok. For what you receive, the value is good. I could see these in use on a work site or warehouse. They are built well and seem pretty durable.

Hardcore Walkie Talkies, Great for Remote Areas
These camouflage walkie talkies feel hardcore! It includes 6 individual walkie talkies, so they’re great for groups. They have several settings and include many channels with a rotary knob, voice activation, flashlight, low battery alarm, and more. All of the knobs are easy to distinguish and they’re easy to hold in your hand. The sound is clear and works long distances nicely. They don’t feel overly heavy and easily clip onto your bag or belt. It takes several hours to charge, and the battery lasts for weeks. Each of the Walkie Talkies also comes with a belt clip, ear piece, and handle. Overall, these are great walkie talkies for staying in communication in remote areas and they were a great price for the quality you receive.
