NewLook 2 lb. Dark Brown Fade Resistant Cement Color

Very happy with the color! Great product works well.

Mixed in easily, but gave a much lighter brown than ideal even using a 25:1 concrete to pigment ratio by volume.Ordered a 3 bottles to get even a light gray on a small 800SF resurfaced concrete driveway (Quickright resurfacing concrete).Looks dark brown in wet concrete, then gets 10X lighter color when the concrete dries. Good thing I was not seeking a uniform color. You think it looks great in the mix, then 2 days later you see what you've really got.Also, the pigment tends to float to the surface and is easy to wash away. I minimized this effect with a plastic cover over the concrete, but still had much of the pigment wash off the cured concrete in the first week after.Still gave it 3 stars since it would be OK if you use a lot of the pigment, but you should order a lot of this if you seek even a medium true brown. Experiment first since the surface gets much lighter after the concrete dries.I used a brown dye a few weeks after the job to get the surface back to even medium-light brown.Hopefully the combination of pigment in the concrete and the surface dye together will provide a longer lasting result than a dye alone.

This brown dye works well and goes a long way. If you get it on your skin for more than a few minutes be prepared to live with the stain until your skin sloughs off. It does not come off with lava soap, alcohol, gasoline, etc. The shade of brown is a little too yellowish for my taste, but this was corrected by adding a small amount of red dye to the batch.

I am pleased with the product. It performed as expected. To get a darker shade I just added more of the product
