Comfortable and easy to use

In the past 10+ years I have tried every gel pen I could get my hands on and these pens are the best I have tried so far. Here's why.What I like:- They write smoothly on most paper I've used them on. These pens do not feel scratchy or skip like other gel pens I've used.- The ink lasts a long time and never seems to dry up.- Smearing is always a problem with gel pens, but I rarely get smearing with these. I'm not saying it can't or won't happen though.- I like to use black pens and the color on these is a dark black, not a grayish color like other pens.- The case of the pens, even though made of plastic, are of good quality. The fit of the rubber part is grippy and comfortable.- The price of these were about $1 a pen and previously I found them on sale for $1.33 (half off at $4.00 for 3) at one of the local office supply stores, so the price was right.What I didn't like:- First time I received these pens they came in a box, like in the picture, and all appeared to be in NEW condition. The second order I received came wrapped up in a rubber band and some of the protective plastic tips were off of half of them, making me wonder if these pens were used or not. I didn't contact the seller to send them back as I didn't want the hassle of sending them back.I have literally tried every gel pen I could get my hands on and I like these the best so far. I would recommend just getting a couple to try out first before going for the multipak.

Fun fact: Energel lines are compatible with Papermate's Inkjoy. This means you can purchase Inkjoy refills and use it in Energel pens or vice versa.While I think that Energel is superior in quality to Inkjoy, I felt a little shocked when I first opened my package of these pens, because there was so little ink in it that the pen already looks half used. So I took out a slightly used Inkjoy and compared the ink content with Energel and you can see that the ink level is much lower in the new Energel. Given that Energel is much more expensive than Inkjoy, I can't in good conscience give it a good rating despite its good quality.Edit: After using it for a while, I have one more thing to add: the pen smudges very easily in the presence of even the smallest amount of water...

My old hands have trouble with pencils and ball point pens in general. These are easy on the pinkies.
