Solar Security Lights, 56 LED Solar Wall Lamp Human/Light Sensor Waterproof Super Bright Lights for Garden, Fence, Door, Yard or Entrance Use

This is one of those occasions where I looked for a product, didn't find it and put up with things for ages until I refined my search and 'Voila!' found just what I want. The front door is on a north facing wall. Where I live they helpfully turn off street lighting at night (so why have it at all!!?) to save money. This means that the front door is in relative darkness. There is a light on a nearby wall but it is masked with a massive climbing hydrangea and there's no power on the wall near the door to set up a better placed light. It looked like the hydrangea had to go or be severely cut back which would have been a really big job and a shame because at twelve foot high and close on twenty foot wide it looks spectacular when in flower. I spotted this which allows me to fit the light inside the porch and the solar panel outside. It took about an hour to fix but most of that time was spent looking for suitable screws - it does come with its own fixing kit but I was attaching to the PVC porch and not to a wall so I wanted something which had more bite. As I said earlier it is on the north facing side of the house, it is February and the weather the last few days has been decidedly grey. I put it up around noon and it was charged and doing its thing by six pm. So it is easy to fit and very bright. Can't comment on motion detection because it's mounted inside a porch a foot or so above head height so it doesn't need to be that sensitive in order to work for me, it comes on when I open the door to go out and when I come back and that's all I need. It seemed to have a bit of a charge when it arrived because the light flashed when I took the bits out of the box and connected them up. It didn't light up immediately when I assembled it, the plug which connects the cable from the power supply to the lamp needed to be pushed home and twisted to make a good contact - and that wasn't really a problem just part of the assembly process. There's also a minor pimple in the surface of the otherwise smooth solar panel, obviously I don't know yet if this will affect durability. Overall I am very pleased with this product and would buy it again

This product worked from the box. It comes pre configured and when it detects a 'human' the lights come on for around 30 to 40 seconds no issues. The light is plenty bright and the separate solar panel is just perfect for optimum positioning. The brackets for the light and solar array are well designed and well easy to install and use. My only criticism would be that the eight screws supplied are 'flimsy' a couple of decent turns on a screwdriver and the heads are bolloxed. I used my own after the first one revealed itself as not fit FP... This is easily a five star product and if I have a need will buy one again...

I don't know how long this light's solar panel will stand up to a UK winter or how long the battery will also last but regardless of that, its great value for money. Easily installed and the light is very bright indeed. Perhaps not the arc of motion detection of some competitors but still good enough and sensitive to motion. So far, no false alarms but you might want to site it away from any sudden heat sources e.g. the outlet flue of a boiler or similar which could / might set it off.

'Plug and play' no setup required, just plug the panel into the light and it works. Mounting is simply a case of drilling the mount into a wall and inserting the light/panel into the mount. I use it in my garage which I would say is the ideal place for it - the panel is outside which charges the battery during the day and detects when it is dark, the wire is thin enough to go through the gap in the door, then the light is mounted about half-way down my garage on the ceiling. In the dark, it activates when it detects the door opening and is bright enough to fill the garage easily, and promptly turns itself off once I have left. Not only is this an easy, eco-friendly lighting solution but it saves running cables from my house

I was dubious about this. But it’s brilliant. No it wont work in a shed in daylight. The light sensor is on the solar panel so if light outside it doesn’t turn on. I never bought it for that. It lights up the back area for the partner going out for a cig. Sensor is sensitive which is good. We haven’t been out all night to drain it, the winter months will see how it goes but so far even on the gloomy days here in scotland seems to charge well. 14 mar 2022 Well after nearly 1.5 years LED’s have started to fail on the panel. Yep it’s been exposed to the elements but I didn’t and wouldn’t expect failure. Over the last 2 weeks 4 more leds have went off. Such a shame as one of the better products I have bought!

I bought this to light the path at the side of the house and I thought solar powered would be enviromentally friendly and would save me electric. It worked fine for 9 months then conked out, so wrong on both counts and too late to return. Water had ingressed via the power connector so not waterproof as stated. I don't know if that was the fault but at end of the day, it no longer works so a waste of money. In practice I found that cars passing along the distant road would set it off as well as any cat or other animal that may wonder past which is a bit off putting late at night for myself and neighbours. If you are looking for an outside light go for a mains powered one that you can switch on and off yourself.

I purchased three of these, two in January 2020 (a year ago), and one in August 2020. Overall I'm impressed. Easy to install, bright light, adequate sensitivity. However one has recently stopped working correctly - it comes on continuously at dusk (ignores whether or not anyone is passing) and consequently gradually looses it's power after a couple of hours. I suspect damp has got into the electronics. Hence only three stars.

Edit: been 5 years now, and still as happy now, as when I bought it. Can’t help but think that most of the poor reviews are from people who have incorrectly located it or didn’t consider what it was, before ordering. For what it is, it is excellent. I have it at the end of the garden, to provide light at night for my 2 (edit: now 3) rescue dogs, as they get used to their surroundings (edit: chase rats) and so I can keep an eye on them. Light unit is located under the eaves of the shed, with the light cell on the roof. Cable hides away beautifully (edit: bird nested on top of the cable, under the eaves). Took 10 mins to put it all up and it looks the business and works very well. Ideally it could be a tad brighter, but it’s solar powered. Very happy. Before you purchase, read some reviews and read and reread the description, so you know what you’re buying. Some of the critical reviews had me in stitches because people were complaining it wasn’t charged or was going off too regularly, but it sounded like that was all the fault of where the unit was sited. Hey-ho.

Tentative d'achat afin d'avoir un appoint de lumière dans un abri de 8m2 dépourvu de source de courant. Un système solaire déporté semblait donc la solution même si le rendement, en général, de ces systèmes n'est pas toujours transcendant. Au vu du prix et de quelques commentaires, nous avons pris le risque de la commander. Le produit présentait une entaille au centre du revêtement du panneau solaire (au pire faisant craindre pour l'étanchéité) mais nous n'avons pas cherché à le renvoyer (j'estimais que le récepteur étant tourné vers le bas / plan horizontal, il n'y aurait pas d'eau qui irait dessus ou stagnerait). Installation facile, longueur cable permettant de positionner le récepteur à l'extérieur sans soucis et la lampe en intérieur. Elle fonctionne très bien (il faut bouger réellement / sensibilité mais en mouvement normal RAS) et a un éclairage amplement suffisant pour pouvoir se mouvoir et prendre des objets etc... J'estime que ce serait un peu juste pour réellement bricoler (c'est plus une lumière d'ambiance) personnellement ou du moins pour des gestes précis (aucun soucis pour du bricolage macroscopique). Je n'ai pas pu tester la durée de l'éclairage car c'est plus pour dépanner à chaque rentrée dans le local pour 10 - 15 minutes. En résumé, pour éclairer un endroit de manière à pouvoir y réaliser quelques trucs sans soucis d'apport électrique, impeccable.

Ne ho presi due, funzionano e fanno una bella luce. Uno l'ho messo in una piccola legnaia chiusa e l'illumina x intero e bene. L'altra esterna sulla zona bbq e il piano di lavoro lo illumina bene. Non ha un grande raggio d'azione ma per piccole cose va bene. Utile il sensore di movimento che ne consente l'uso continuo se vi muovete nel suo raggio. Posizionate il pannello ben esposto e non in ombra.

Bastante luz, funciona genial. Está encima de la puerta de la comunidad y hace su papel correctamente.

Lo he comprado para una azotea y da mucha luz, más que incluso un foco normal. El cable bastante largo así que se puede jugar a la hora de buscar el mejor lugar para que le de el sol. Detecta el movimiento genial y se apaga al minuto aprox. de no detectar nada. De momento contentos.
