Easy to install.
Installed on a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. I was able to do this myself at 75 years old. Vey good to excellent quality. The 30lb weightof thisitem added to the ease of installation as did the installation hardware that was well suited for the job.To install I loweredmy tire to the ground and put the hitch on the tire and raised it up as high as I was able to thenheld the hitch up with one hand and put thebolts in one side at a time.

Good hitch
Replaced the rotten hitch on my 2004 Silverado. Fits perfectly, now I can tow safely again. My only small issue, there is no bracket for the trailer light plug.

Great hitch that is easy to install
Apparently Curt has read the reviews! I noticed is the reviews I read prior to purchasing that many people had an issue locating the hardware that comes with the hitch. Apparently they would wrap it up inside the receiver and now it is shrink wrapped to the tube beside the receiver so you cannot miss it. I also read that many wound arrive with scratches and dings. Mine was nicely packaged in a box with cushioning. Fit perfectly and was an easy install by myself. Lined the hitch up under the truck on a floor Jack with the receiver on the jack pad and jacked it into position loosely installed the bumper bolts. Then was able to align the other holes and install remaining hardware. Then tighten opposing bolts until all were tightly in place.

Purchased for my 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500LT
FIrst, Amazons shipping seems to always arrive before the projected date. I like that. Now, the Curt 13322 Receiver is a fantastic item and the price was too good to pass up. My review is going to hopefully outline a couple of things I simply didn't know prior to mounting it on my truck. Most socket sets don't include a 22mm socket unless you're a real mechanic. I'm not. Save yourself a LOT of misery and when you order this item at Amazon, go ahead and run to the hardware store and get a 22mm socket. While you're there, if you don't have at least a 8 inch extension for your socket wrench, buy one of them too. If it wasn't for running to the store to buy the socket, I would have had this receiver installed in about 15 minutes. Add in my driving time, and it quickly becomes 45 minutes! My fault completely. Why the extension for the socket wrench? If you don't mind dropping your spare tire, you won't need it. I didn't feel like dropping mine, and by adding in a bit of length between the socket and the wrench, you will alleviate the need to drop your spare. At least on my '12 model Chevy, I did not need to trim any fascia as the paperwork suggested may be needed. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this receiver. Installation was a breeze and not time consuming at all. I'll say pretty much anyone could get under there and do it as long as they have the right tools. I mean ANYONE. Plus, as others have said... this aftermarket receiver actually looks far better than the stock Chevy one. Personal opinion of course!

Not as good as OE
Purchased to replace a rusted out receiver on a 2013 silverado 1500. A few things to note: The box was destroyed during shipping but the product was fine. A few minor scratches didn't bother me at all. The fit was perfect. I had no issues bolting the new one in place and had no gap between the bumper bolts and receiver as others mentioned. The replacement receiver, in my opinion, is not nearly as good as the OE part. There are 2 bolts on each side vs. 3 on the original. The OE part is braced on both sides of the mounting bolts vs 1 side on the replacement. The OE mounting brackets are significantly longer. The angled holes for the safety chain on the OE receiver are easier to use than the flat holes on the replacement. I can get the chains latched into the new receiver but it's more difficult with the receiver pin in place. The new hitch sits closer to the bumper than the original on my truck. It made my enclosed single axel 5x10 work trailer sit a little too high with the 2" drop I had previously used. I tow a trailer daily. If my truck didn't have 310,000 miles I'd probably have spent more for the OE part but this seems like a decent product for the price if you're doing light occasional towing. It looks fine and doesn't jump out as being aftermarket. I dropped the spare. You don't have to. Takes about an hour. The original hardware is better. Mine was fine so I reused it.

Heavy duty, well made
Little hard to install, took some thinking of how to get both ends of the heavy hitch up to the truck and hold it. Found bungee cords did the trick to temp hold near enough to start bolts. Worked great after that.

Direct replacement for OEM
Good quality material. The brackets are thicker than the original but have 1 less bolt hole per side. It still has the same towing rate.Very easy to install for any diy but must have a torque wrench available.
