Subtle Serenity Yoga Zafu Meditation Cushion & Free Drawstring Tote - Organic Cotton Buckwheat Hull Filled Meditation Pillow

I just got this meditation cushion and I must say that I like it. It is very firm out of the box. But thanks to the sellers email, I figured out that I can remove some of the buckwheat shells to make it a "softer" pillow. It's doesn't become fluffy or anything like that, but it does contour to a butt shape much better. At first I was confused as to how to open it, but I discovered that the zipper pull was hidden beneath the carry strap. Pretty good attention to detail in my mind. The carry bag it comes with is also nice. Not sure that it is necessary for my needs, but it is appreciated. I'm certain my daughter will find a use for it.Speaking of which, I used this as a booster chair for my boy, and it worked well. So it is a multi-purpose cushion.Off one star because when I checked out, I am pretty certain that I chose either black or blue, since I love those colors. The pillow I got is purple, not a color I particularly like. When I went back to check, the invoice said "Subtle Serenity's Premium Meditation Cushion - Buckwheat Filled Zafu Yoga Meditation Bolster Pillow - Black, Purple or Blue" So I put another cushion my cart to test. I chose a black pillow, but it again said 'black, purple, or blue" So I guess the color you choose may or may not be the color you get.

I am a serious meditatior, it is important for me to have a buckwheat cushion due to its unique characteristics which help in longer sittings. I have a Hugger and Mugger buckwheat cushion bought about 8 years ago, still using everyday. As it is very sturdy and very flexible to make any shape, I sleep on it every night. It is a great kneck pillow.I wanted to push my wife into serious meditation and wanted to make one by myself by purchasing required basic materials and found out it that is going to be very expensive to do that considering time and material cost.One thing I don't like Hugger Mugger is that there is no inner cover to keep buckwheat in place. When it's time to wash the cover, it is a nightmare.Then I found this, smaller but much cheaper as it was in sale. It has two covers so the washing is very easy. Product finishing is much nicer and neat. Shape is very nice and sitting felt very good. It came with a carry bag and everything was beautifully packed. Immediately I fell in love. It is much sturdier than Hugger Mugger which is more "fluid". I don't know how it would feel in longer sitting, I believe it's gonna be OK.I have no problem in recommending it for anyone. If you find it's hard to sit crossed leg, try kneeling and turning the cushion vertically and sit on it. Or better to have a small stool and sitting with knees down.

I ordered  Subtle Serenity's Premium Meditation Cushion - Buckwheat Filled Zafu Yoga Meditation Bolster Pillow - 3 Colors  because I have spinal damage that often makes my yoga and meditation sessions less than comfortable. I am in love! The cushion is beautiful (I bought purple), the stitching is high-quality, and the bag makes it easy to take anywhere. The cushion is adequately filled and really helps with meditation posture as a result. It is not as big as some others, but I find the smaller size to be more effective than the larger ones I've tried. I've found a number of ways to incorporate it into my yoga routines. The Subtle Serenity Premium Meditation Cushion is head and shoulders above others I have tried and I highly recommend it. My daughter loves it too, so it looks like I will have to order another one for her--if I ever want to find mine! Also, I received the item promptly--before the expected delivery date and it was securely packaged. Excellent seller!

I was really impressed with the beauty and quality of the Subtle Serenity Premium Meditation Cushion. I was also surprised how comfortable it was. I've been meditating every day for years, but I have bad knees so I never wanted to try to sit on the floor or on a cushion. I've always meditated in my recliner.When I saw the height and size of this meditation pillow I decided to give it a try. No problem with my knees at all. It has me far enough off the floor that it allows me to sit quite comfortably. It's also very comfortable, but rigid enough to support me. It feels great, and it's just the right size for me.The storage bag is a nice touch too. It helps keep it clean between uses (and keeps my dogs from thinking it's for them).

I am just getting into meditation (due to my wife urging me) but when I first started I knew I was going to need some sort of pillow or cushion to sit on because my floor is tile, so it's hard to sit for long periods of time. I tried sitting on my couch but it just didn't feel right sitting cross legged there (kept feeling like I was sinking), so I opted for this pillow. I love it - the size is just right to keep me comfortable for long periods of time while sitting on it. I had my wife try it and she is going to order the purple one just like this black one I purchased. She said it was much more comfortable than her yoga mat she was using before.

Extremely well packaged and in pristine condition. Easy to store and convenient to tote around inside included storage bag. The cushion measures approximately 13 inches in diameter and 5 to 5.5 inches high or thick. It's the perfect height for me (I am 5-11). The material is a canvas material that seems like it will last forever. The big test is comfort. Although I did not "meditate" on it yet, I did sit on it cross-legged for about 5 minutes and it seemed really comfortable and easily conformed to the shape of my body. So far so good! I like it!

Absolutely love this cushion! I received it yesterday and tried it out. It's the right height and very comfortable to sit on. The manufacturer made it possible to take out some of the filling if needed but it wasn't necessary. It also came in a tote, which is great to keep it clean and to take with me when travelling. I would recommend this meditation cushion to anyone who is looking for a quality product that is reasonably priced. An added plus is that it's manufactured in the USA by a family owned business. I wasn't aware of that until after I purchased it so that was a nice surprise as well as I would prefer supporting small businesses.
