high quality rack
I was hesitant to order this because of the bad reviews, but I'm glad I did. The quality is very nice, and it's as attractive as the photo. Smooth, attractively-finished wood, properly-attached brass supports, shaped correctly, sturdy and solid feel, and just the right size for racking the balls. We've used it several times so far with no issues, and it looks nice on the wall with the matching 8-ball rack (which is also nice quality, matches this one in color, and works well).

Not Same As Listed Picture / Not Worth $30
This item is an okay, cheap 9-ball rack but it is not the same as what’s shown in the listing. The contrast in the corners in the listing item is much nicer/apparent than what I received. The overall finish of the listing item is more attractive than what I received (which is dull and cheap looking). This item is worth maybe $10 and is not what you’re looking for if you are willing to pay a premium for higher quality items.

Fantastic
NOTE: This is a wooden rack. The balls are NOT supposed to fit smug on a wooden rack. You group them by slidding it back and forth in one fast confident motion, makes a nice audible crackling as the balls collide into place. With the remaining space (end opposite to the last direction of force) you have enough of a gap to comfortably place your thumb inside and lift the rack. Plastic is snug cause it bends if you ever try to do the above.

Works and looks great, the only issue I have with it is the fit when racking can be a bit loose and the balls can separate when the rack is removed
