Does what a clothesline should do, built to last. No complaints.
Clotheslines are a solved problem. The only ways to fail at one are cheap hardware that corrodes, wire that sags under load, or tensioning hardware that can't hold adjustment. This kit avoids all three. The wire gauge is substantial enough to handle a full load of wet laundry without the sag that plagues lighter kits. Hardware is zinc-coated or galvanized throughout, which is the correct call for something that lives outside year-round in rain, snow, and UV. The tensioner does its job and holds adjustment without creeping loose over time, which is the failure mode that makes cheaper kits progressively useless within a season.Installation is straightforward. The included hardware covers the typical post-to-post or post-to-wall run without requiring supplemental fasteners for a standard setup. There is no meaningful design innovation here and none is needed. This is a wire between two points, held taut, resistant to weather. It does that. The "super heavy duty" designation reflects actual material spec rather than marketing inflation, which in this category is not something you can take for granted.Bottom Line:Buy it once, stop thinking about it.

Strong, smooth-gliding, perfect system.
Perfect clothesline system. My run is about 60-70 feet, and I was replacing a smaller, plastic pulley wheel system (maybe 4.5 or 5" wheels) and white cotton rope -- the only system you really can assemble at the local hardware store, and I looked! I hung these larger wheels and the covered wire in the kit and kept my old Gizmo that keeps the top line and bottom line connect to prevent sag. This picture shows wet laundry -- that's a king size duvet cover, king size sheets and full size sheets, plus a bunch of kitchen towels, pillow cases and a bath mat. The line hasn't stretched (even fully loaded with beach towels) and it runs smoothly in the v-cut of the wheel, and my old wood pins work just fine. I wondered about the winch tightener, but haven't had to adjust a thing since set up. I live in New England (at the shore, so beach towels are a constant) where electricity is super-pricey. I use my clothesline every chance I get until it's too cold. I don't miss yanking the cotton rope line back in and pushing it back out, and replacing it on the stupid plastic pulley after it slipped off. This line glides like a dream -- one good push can send a towel out 10' and stays on the wheels! I can't say enough good about this kit -- it's already paid for itself in every way -- and I definitely recommend it!! Thanks STRATA!!
