Q: On ls truck platform which valve stem seals are recommended? lm7? hat oem style with spring sits on or aftermarket smaller style just over top guide?

The two different styles are used depending on what head you have, or more specifically the year your heads were made. If you have heads from 99-02 use the valve stem seal that looks like a hat with no brim, 03+ used the seals that look like a top hat.
