A ma zing!
Itโs very helpful. Edit on June 2022: The first thing I do before I get up and before I go to sleep is putting this under my neck and head. Otherwise, life is not easy for me.

Pain equates to less stress
So your wondering if this piece of rubber is worth the money? Well it depends what's wrong with you. There is no substitute for a good chiropractor, but if you cannot afford one/have been let down before like I have by others, this product might be a shadowy glimmer of hope for you. This product should not be intended to be used more than once a day, and should only be used as an alignment tool only as necessary. With that being said. For those of use that have alignment problems caused by stress that leads to short tense muscle pulling out vertebra out of whack this might be the solution your looking for. What causes short tense muscle and do I have it? Stress, as you hear on TV takes it's toll on our bodies, especially extended periods of high stress. Naturally, when stressed our bodies get in that fight/flight mode that never seems to go away which in theory leads to teeth grinding (instinctively clenching our teeth for protection against a brutal attack), clenching our fists and muscles we don't even know we're using (especially the back). Again, I am no doctor although I have had years of personal experience in this department, but if you find yourself arching your back and/or self adjusting ("popping") your back, this could remotely be a possibility for you. In this case, professionally and personally adjusting your back all the time could aggravate the situation and lose that stiffness our backs need to stay in place (since cracking our backs is NOT natural). It should also be noted that sitting, overdeveloping muscles, or being in certain contorted stances/positions may also lead to short muscle development. (All of which I have done) What does this product do? For me, I use this product to penetrate deep stiff muscles in my back with contribute to my upper back problems. This product is no joyride and for me is extremely painful, but I find this tool to be extremely effective in loosening my tight stiff muscles in the back. Short muscle is never good. That is why it is recommended that you stretch before you run, lift weights, or perform yoga to relieve stress (stress = short muscle remember?). Yoga is the safest and most widely accepted form of stress relief for which there is no substitute, but there are deep spots in our bodies (like for me in between my left shoulder blade and spine) that yoga is ineffective. This tool digs it's way in there and stretches those "trigger points" or short muscle and not only relieves the pain after a short period of agony, but also helps nurture the spine to go where it's supposed to winning that tug of war battle between short muscle and the natural position of our bodies. Final thoughts: If you have already consulted a doctor, ask that specialist if this product is right for you. Adjusting your back too often will cause more problems than you started out with, and the primary use of this product is for trigger point and short muscle stretching and releasing. As with everything common sense dictates this tools effectiveness, and for me it's worth is considerable.

Trapezius strain & muscle relief!
I ordered this because I suffer from severe trapezius strain on my midback region (right side). I had been using the edge of a wall (any wall in the house or office) to apply pressure to my trapezius muscle. The pain I had was constant and severe, forcing me to see a massage therapist WEEKLY for the past few months. I had severe migraines and tense neck muscles that limited my range of motion (I could not look up), and the pain eventually started shooting down my right arm. I couldn't sleep or concentrate and I had a tingling feeling in my right hand fingers. It was awful. Since using the Davinci tool, my pain has subsided. I can sleep (finally!!) and the tingling went away. Headaches are pretty much non-existent and I can start looking up again. It has been 2 weeks since my last massage appointment! I use the tool every night. I can use all 3 sides, but my favorite is the rounded side. I use the serrated side when I want a more intense feeling. If I need a deeper massage, I use the wedge. Here's a tip: if you rub a little lotion on your neck and slowly/carefully let the tool slide down your neck...it will feel AMAZING! You will feel a little sore the next day, but it's totally worth it. Find someone to help you position the tool if you use it on your shoulder blade area. This tool has really worked for me, and I'm glad I ordered this. No instructions, but it did come with a card that demonstrates WHERE you can use it on your body. I told my massage therapist about it and he told me to bring it so he can show me how to use it (what a great guy). If you suffer from trapezius strain, I HIGHLY recommend this product!

Definitely firm, but helps hit those trigger-points
I do prefer a firm tool to get into the tension in my neck, shoulder blades, lower-back and hips. I can position the Davinic Tool, put my body weight on it, and let myself press or slide to move the tension out of the area. The shoulder blade likes the sharper edge of the tool, and I can actually get a pop or two out of my scapula if I do it right. Just let the pressure of your chest force the wedge into the gap, and you'll feel the tension release slowly. Next I lay my neck on the indentation and relax. It can be a little painful at first, but once I relax into it, I can get a few cracks out of my cervical vertebrae. I can position it around my shoulders too, in order to hit some of that tension. Last, I put the rounded edge up and lay with it lined up with my spine, then let it slowly slide out to my hip with my body weight. I can do this a couple times to release the tension across my sciatic nerve. Next I will let it sit aligned with my sciatic nerve and let my weight push it into the nerve. I'll then move it over to my hip and do the same. This routine helps release a lot of the pain and pressure that builds up at work. This tool is a great way to increase the pressure on those pesky trigger points and find some relief!
