No Issues
I bought this in hopes for my Kombucha, and this did seem to work just fine. The only issue is that I have 2.5 gallon Jar and i does not wrap around this at all. So it went underneath like a heating pad. Seemed to do the job well even then. So I do like the the product, I wish the Velcro was a little longer to accommodate a larger glass jar. The heating controls are very simplistic, Low, Medium, High. I always kept on low so no issues kept he Booch at a nice comfy temp. I wish the controls were more like a dial from 1-10 and you can step it up to desired temp. In the end my Kombucha fermented just fine and turned out great. Very Good product. Not Temp issues.

Really useful for making Kombucha
New to making my own Kombucha, I purchased this heater unit at the same time as their Kombucha Starter kit (see separate review), and I'm so glad I got this unit. It heats both fermentation processes to the ideal temp and does so consistently. It is winter here, and we keep the home a bit too cool for Kombucha (ideally, that product should be 78-80F). The blanket fits the starter kit bottle perfectly and helps the temp at the ideal range for the 10 days I used it for 1st process. Then, the bottles sit on the unit flattened out for 3 days (2nd fermentation). Worked like a charm. Why not spend a bit more and control this process ideally? Well worth the $$.

Worked great, and good customer service
Quick Review: The temperature held steady and the Kombucha was great. :o) More full review: If I buy another heating mat for more bottles, I would likely buy this same one again. (Note on why I included the word "likely" below.) I like that the temperature can be adjusted. That is helpful for the changing seasons as well as for differences in bottles with 1st and 2nd ferment. (It can wrap around two of my second ferment bottles.) The first mat I received only worked on the High setting. Something in the controller was off so it wasn't working for the Low and Medium settings. I contacted the company (The Kombucha Shop) directly from their website and they were very helpful and quick in taking care of the issue. Great customer service! It is winter in Ohio and we keep our heat at 60. I put the bottles in the basement in an area that is actually cooler than the rest of the house (but dark and tucked away where the children can see the SCOBY grow, etc., but it isn't going to get brought down or filled with toys by the younger children). Anyhow, with the mat on it stayed a constant 78. (It could have gone higher, but I set it up to be at 78.) Actually when I first put it on (on high) and went out for a few hours it was at 80 and rising. My suggestion (with any mat) is to put it on and watch the temperature. Once you see where it heats to, you can then adjust it from there. When I had the mat that wasn't quite working right for the heat settings, I put chopsticks around the jar to pull the mat a bit off the jar. This worked for adjusting the temperature, but was more troublesome, and needed loosening or tightening the belt every time I wanted to add/remove a chopstick (which would cause all off the other chopsticks to fall). I'm glad to now have the temperature adjustment working. I also like that the mat is wide. Many mats are quite narrow or up to 3 inches. This one is wider and does a nice job of heating the whole jar. (Actually, I think I like the width even more than the temperature control.) As I am thinking of ordering another mat or two I would like to order two more of this same mat. The only hesitation I am having is that it is more expensive than other mats (due to being wider and having temperature control??). Finances are a consideration, so I am still back and forth on whether to order another one of these mats or to order a less expensive one. If I only had one mat, it would be this one. With having several, it may work to have some variety of mats. Good mat. Works well, even in a cool temperature environment. Holds a steady temperature. And... great customer service if something doesn't go quite right. :o)

Essential in Brewing Kombucha
Essential in brewing Kombucha Tea by keeping a constant temperature. Has three setting for low, medium, and high depending on the environment your Kombucha jar is in. Easy to use and designed to wrap snugly around the jar while leaving room to see the temperature label attached to the side of the jar. I recommend this product.

The wrap heats well but be careful of the seating of the slider in the adjustable switch
I have this wrap around a half gallon mason jar of kombucha and it’s working now. I had to figure out some issues first. The heater was wrapped around itself in the box the opposite way it was to go on the jar. So when I got it on the jar for the hook and loop fastener to work properly, the edges were curled away from the jar and not making contact. This resolved itself after a week or more of heating and now lies lush on the surface. I tape the temperature strip with masking tape top and bottom to keep it flush. The main issue I had to figure our was the slider on the switch that adjusts the temperature. The surface slider is supposed to push another slider under it to the setting shown in the cutout of the top slider. The top piece sits very loosely on the switch that is below it and doesn’t engage it when moved unless you press very hard. I had the top slider showing “high” and the actual switch beneath was in the “off” position. The picture shows the slider in the off position, while you can barely see the underneath slider in the medium setting and the temp showing a good range. When my booch was cold I investigated why and found the issue with the slider. I just move the top slider out of the way and manually push the underneath slider to the desired setting and it works fine. So, yes it works heats fine , but the slider doesn’t work like it should. I can live with it. But only three stars.
