A Slug Party
I have tried putting beer in my garden using a variety of items but these are the first to really show me that slugs/snails love beer and this really does work. I have refilled them 3 times already and they keep taking a dip. I am excited and no longer will use those pellets that never work again. Let them drink beer.

Slugs Gone Wild (in the Best Way)
Let me tell you...these slug beer trap holders are basically the hottest club in town if you’re a slimy garden pest. I pour a little beer in and BOOM—slug party central!! They flock to it like it’s happy hour and let’s just say… they don’t make it out. Bonus points for the green color; it blends in perfectly and doesn’t scream “slug graveyard” to anyone walking by. My plants are thriving, the slugs are… not, and I’m weirdly thrilled about it. Highly recommend for anyone who’s tired of hosting unwanted garden raves.

Used in tandom with slug bait.
I used this in tandom with dry slug bait. Twice the defence for garden. Used cheap beer to fill.

A good design for getting slugs, but hard to keep together
We had a plague of slugs, and these seemed like a good solution - you dig a hole for the bucket part, and once it's placed, you add bait (we used cheap beer, which is like the nectar of the gods for slugs.) and place the top on.It would be nice if the tops actually snapped onto the buckets in some way - they just rest on the bucket part with little pegs to keep them raised enough to allow slugs to get in. Because they're just perched there, I kept knocking them off while watering the garden, working on plants nearby, or by breathing in the vicinity. It was frustrating.Frustration aside, these WORK. The morning after, there was an impressively disgusting amount of slugs drowned in each. I may use some thermoplastic to add a part that sticks up so I don't have to dig them out of the garden to empty them. It can get messy. All in all, these really do work. Maybe not the most convenient, but quite effective.

Works just like I hoped it would!
I wanna skeptic, but I purchased based on the good reviews. Results already overnight. I used cheap beer and added a big tablespoon of sugar. 4 out of 5 had dead slugs. ann animal had gotten into the other one and it was drained. When I went out tonight, I found slugs headed toward one of the traps and another 2 crawling inside it.These are great.Also- I read in the reviews that a few people said the tops don’t stay on in the wind. I live on the coast and it’s breezy here (and was today). Zero issues. They fit on too snug enough to work.

Chock full 🤮
I put these in on a Saturday/ Sunday and this is what I got on the following Thursday. I think this is what was eating my crops. I read a cheap beer would work and chat gbt recommended Coors light. It smelled terrible to when I dumped it out.

Didn't work
I really wanted these to work but the snails avoided them and they ended up being a waste of money

Slug trap is a winner
These slug traps are bringing the slugs out for the sugar-beer fest of their lives. Fill half full with a mild beer, add a couple heaping tablespoons of sugar, stir well, place the roof on top, secure the trap in a slug trail and wait for the ecstatic drowning in sugar-beer to begin. Nothing better than to check mornings to find a full house of drowned slugs that have created havoc in one’s garden. If you’ve waited all year for flowers to bloom only to have slugs turn them to pathetic, slimy lace overnight, this trap is for you. Bought two sets for good measure. Using both sets while the slugs attack seedlings, clematis, day lilies, oriental and trumpet lilies. Would absolutely buy again.Update: I’ve added a 24-hour catch photo. These traps are amazing.
