Measurements weren’t super clear so I got a gate that was wider than what I needed, so I ended up rigging it so that I could force it in the space. I have cats who learned that they could jump over a regular baby gate to escape off of my porch. So I could never sit outside and relax and I couldn’t keep them in because they meow like crazy so sit outside. They are indoor cats and porch cats, x4, they don’t know what the real outside is like haha. I needed a gate that had three points of contact because on one side of the gate the height is only that of a baby gate. I installed plants along the rails on the lower so they can’t escape that way, so I needed something that would have two lower touching point so it wouldn’t fall down. (This probably sounds confusing) anyway, It is installed and the cats cannot jump over this thing. They tried climbing and everything and to my happiness they were deterred I love the multiple points of contact which makes it versatile as to where you could place it. It’s pretty heavy and the price is what it is for using durable metal. So far so good for me. Now I can sit outside and read and not have to worry about the cats constantly jumping over and going down to the downstairs and under the downstairs where rats live to sniff them out. My stress was outta control. So yes value for the money because peace of mind haha

This was a life saver...literally! My one cat insisted on peeing on my sofa, my chair pad, the blankets in from of the wood stove. After lots of searching I dove in on this one. The height is good and while some cats might be able to jump it, most won't. And a valance curtain on a pressure rod (or 2) can be used to deter those that do (one on top and open the seam at the bottom and run one through). For some reason this cat NEVER made a mistake in the bedrooms. Put the gate up and life is good again. She snuggles with me all night and all is well. It's a bit of a challenge to install. I purchased nice wall protectors that were larger and cushioned so to avoid indents on the drywall. The base board changes the base width so consider that during assembly. When I don't lock it my 2 Siamese cats have learned how to open it which is fine, they were not the problem, but it does spring back to closed position. The quality is excellent, it was pricey but buying new furniture is much MORE pricey!

I bought this gate to keep my house cats safe when my daughter need to moved in with me with her two pit bulls. I had high hope it was the solution I needed especially since it worked fine for about two months, but when both both pits hit it full force it warped and no longer fits the frame. I’m pretty sure that only a gate bolted into the frame would hold these two big dogs. With any other normal size dog it would probably hold up ok. I had it installed by my handyman who was doing some other work for me. It was too heavy for me to deal with. I’m very disappointed that it didn’t work out for me. I still think it is a good solution for any other breed than a big strong aggressive breed like these pits especially combined with cats.

Such a beautiful gate, easy to assemble, and great for what I needed it for. The big issue is it didn’t last me long, only 7 months, and the plastic broke on me. I don’t know if it was a defect or just cheaply made. It’s an expensive gate for it to only last me 7 months. Now I’m left with no gate and can’t return it for a new one since the warranty is done.

This gate has been a lifesaver for introducing our two kittens to our older cat. It’s the purr-fect solution for letting them safely explore each other on their own terms. The kittens can’t squeeze through, and neither the kittens nor the cat can jump over it. We feel secure knowing no one is escaping, and the setup was incredibly easy. It’s made the introduction process so much smoother and stress-free for everyone. Highly recommend for anyone managing multi-cat households or introducing new pets!

I received this gate but it wouldn’t work with our interior door . We live in an older home with glass knobs on the interior doors the gate hitting the glass knobs and wouldn’t let the door close . It would have not been at all stable.. The customer service was very nice when I first started a refund . But they needed more information . But I became into health issues . That caused a delay I informed the of the situation and they were totally understanding . Told me to basically take care of me . I. got back with them and gave them them information several days later . They gave me a full refund . I am very pleased with the service I received . But disappointed I couldn’t use this gate .

Love this gate, bigger than I thought- I was happy about that. I measured my door with the measurement app on the Apple phone and had to buy the one with the extension kit which worked out perfectly so don’t recommend guessing. Pretty easy install, some guessing needed to be done but it’s not rocket science. Great for my cats and great for my home. Love it.

Nowhere in the instruction booklet does it address the black disc that is required for holding the gate in place in a doorway. The directions provide black caps and screws, but no directions on how they are to be used or where. The gate does not arrive "square" when taken out of the box, and placement in the doorway resulted in a 4 inch gap between the top of the door (larger spacing), than the bottom of the door (1 inch gap). Working around the zip ties and getting the gate back into alignment is very difficult, although the website did suggest a rope. There are no written instructions on how the gate is to be assembled. The picture quality is very poor and impossible to discern the different parts and how or where they go. While it is a great gate once properly assembled and inserted into a wooden doorway, the instructions are such that they are.
