Works great to scare a dog away. It does not have a hurtful bite, but enough to make a dog back off. I have stunned my palm by accident as I grabbed it from the wrong end. I have shocked my self as well when I had it in my coat pocket. The noise if scary, but the bite is not more than a bee sting. The only bad thing is my flashlight quit working. I am sure it is just the bulb that needs replaced. A charge will last a long time if you turn it off when not in use. Not a bad purchase.

I tell you one of the first things that catches your eye is a lifetime warranty awesome a lot of these you need to take an extended warranty and they are for 1 year to year only is it simple to use absolutely is it potent enough to take you down I'm a 245 lb person I've been tased by it a drop me like a big sack of potatoes I definitely recommend this it's got a clip on in an on and off switch so you don't accidentally tase yourself and it's a LED flashlight it's beautiful I bought it for all my female friends and I teach martial arts but this is just an extra add-on highly recommend kickass little beautiful defense weapon and flashlight

Well, I looked at all of the other reviews and it sounded like a great deal... Don't believe everything you read... it's not that bright of a flashlight, around 100 lumina, give or take 10 to 20 luminas... it doesn't have the strobe light, just one set light. So if you only ever had one of those old Eveready flashlights, this one might seem bright to you. And it doesn't let you know if it's charged all the way up or not? It only shows one red light that indicates that it's charging and it never turns off, so, it's very possible to over charge and ruin the battery or just burn up the whole device. It says that it's only charged up to 20 percent when you receive the device and that you should charge completely before using, but the little red light Never Goes Off!!! So how are you supposed to know when it's charged up to 100 percent? It's a guessing game I suppose... But if you want a little cheap light just to throw in the vehicle incase of an emergency, I guess it would work for that? And it doesn't pack a punch very long, so if you are getting it for self defense, please don't. It starts to die down after 5 to 6 seconds, so hopefully it will scare the attacker before you actually have to use it, because if you hold the shock button longer than 10 seconds, it's not going to be very intimidating... So please, spend a few extra bucks and get something that might actually work. If you read all of this, thank you for taking the time out and listening. I would not recommend any one buying this, it's a cheap knockoff and that's about it.

I purchased this for my husband who workes a 3rd shift job and deals with a lot of weirdos at night.I am amzed at how super-bright that the flashlight is. The stun-gun part, I hope that we never have to figure out how powerful (or not) that it is. But I can say that it works...and I definitely wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of it.I have seen lights like this for much higher prices, that absolutely could not compare to this one.

This is my second one and I haven’t even used it and the on and off button keeps on falling off.I wish I could give a zero ratingRun! Cheap , cheap , cheap!
