Is this the same topping as the 7oz container sold at Walmart?

Yes, a small squeeze version is sold at supermarkets to, usually by the ice cream toppings. The only problem is the small container gets hard on the bottom and it is very hard to mix.

Does this item contain high fructose corn syrup? What sweetener is used?

Add_to_Cart's answer is consistent with what I remember manufacturing peanut butter in the 90s - the basic formula was peanuts; peanut oil; sugar (could be powdered beet sucrose or powdered corn dextrose, but was usually dextrose); salt; and a kosher edible wax stabilizer to keep the oil from separating out (I believe the hydrogenated vegetable oil is this ingredient). Probably the oil and sugar are higher than conventional peanut butter to make this a pourable sauce; the cornstarch is likely just there as a thickener.

Is this anything like the pb sauce/ripple in ice cream?

This is best as a topping. If you’ve gone to an ice cream shop, like Friendly’s or similar, this is the warm PB topping they put on the top. Just warm it up and pour over. Delicious!

Would this be good on a pb jelly sandwich? or would it be too sweet?

I've not tried it on a PB&J yet, but I think it would be good. It's not too sweet. Basically in my opinion, it thinned out peanutbutter. It's oily but not in the same nasty way that regular peanut butter is if that makes sense. You would need to stir each time you open it to mix the oils back in. I personally like to dip my ice cream cones into it head first. Great as an add-on for cookies, making shakes, etc. I highly suggest getting yourself a bottle and give it a try.

Improperly Identified

When it arrived there was a giant sticker showing the expiration date as 2 months ago. This was not in the ad. Lets not kid ourselves though. I'm still not gonna pass on 4.5 lbs of Reese sauce. It is already 1/3 gone. I just would have liked to knkw it was an expired product.

Perfect sauce for chocolate ice cream

The first thing you should know is that this is a SAUCE. Ive seen reviews where they complain its not the consistency of peanut butter. It says it right on the label. SAUCE.This stuff is AMAZING!!! Perfect topper for my chocolate ice cream. Great on cheesecakes too or just eating a spoonful by itself. It doesn't taste exactly like reeses peanut butter you find in the candy cups but it is a lot better than regular peanut butter taste.I usually wait till this stuff is on sale for around 20 bucks as it tends to get quite pricey off sale.

Amazing taste

Love this sauce!! Bought it a few times now. It taste great! I’ve seen others say it’s not thick enough. This is a sauce so it’s thinner than actual peanut butter. It has a smooth texture and is great for baking and also on ice cream, really any treat!
