For Five Coffee Roasters Ethiopian Yirgacheffe Whole Bean 12 oz

Great coffee! The best Yaga bean available!

The beans and the roast looked consistent with a light roast. There was an aroma that I couldn't quite place as I smell After brewing a pot it did not taste like any other Yirgacheff I've consumed. Flavor-wise this is a huge disappointment for Yirgacheffe. Tasted like dirt brewed 2 different pots. There was a label of best by 9/2024. Finally I found a roast date on bottom of bag Jan 5, 2021. Purchased Nov, 2022. Almost 2 YEARS after roast date!!! Save your $$ and skip this one. I've found 2 other roasters here on amzn with consistent quality Ethiopian Yirgacheffe as it should be. Light and medium roast.

The flavor was just good. It wasn't as strong or as bright as I wanted. But it made decent coffee.

For right or wrong, I have come to expect a distinctive bright, fruity flavor from Ethiopian beans. These just don't fulfill that expectation.

Out-of-the-bag, the beans appeared to be decent, lightly roasted Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, not a lot of broken beans, nice color, etc., but upon grinding, no aroma. A cup made with an Aeropress tasted like some sort of coffee but not a nice fruity Yirgacheffe. I suspect the beans are just old and stale. After a couple of episodes with the same results the bag ended up in the trash.

Brewed using Tetsu kasuya 4:6 pour over method in hario v60 -Peach and lemongrass tasting notes are bomb ! Come through beautifully

A great roaster! However, buying this from Amazon is not worth it because it's stale by the time you get it. I bought this coffee twice hoping the second would be better. Who knows how long it's been on a shelf in a warehouse.

It’s good! It’s on the lighter side, but still has some darkness to it, compared to other Ethiopian coffees I’ve had.
