Sarah's Candy Factory Assorted Dehydrated Marshmallow Bits in Jar, 2.5 Lbs (updated)

I buy these exclusively to put in Apple Jacks cereal. It’s amazing. This is a good buy and always fresh. Texture is good. At the end of the jar there is always a good bit of marshmallow “slough” but I expect that cause it’s a huge jar of marshmallows.

Only giving four stars because of the price. I loved these. Always wanted just the marshmallows since I was a kid so I used to pick them out to eat with milk without the grain pieces. I am addicted to sweets / junk so I can't buy on subscription but even if I did subscribe I still think the price is obsessive. If this was a good twenty bucks or lower I'd be more willing to put on a good every three months subscription. But I do appreciate the sellers of this. I never thought they would do it when I was coming up. Especially being they seem to get stale fairly easily they weren't a perfect taste upon opening, texture is too chewy, so there's some compromise they aren't the original Lucky Charms they are clearly a knockoff in terms of taste and quality. 2lb size is great. They aren't an exact replica of Lucky charms' in appearance which is probably for patent reasons.

I’ve been ordering this for the past year since my child loves these. Unfortunately the last two times the marshmallows were hard and chewy not crumbly like they should be. The container is sealed but some how it appears air and moisture has gotten inside. It’s a shame since if they are already hard, there’s no way we can finish a 2.5 pound container of this without them getting hard and clumpy. I think it’s time to try another brand since we’ve never had this issue in the past and every marshmallow was good until the very last one.
