Beautiful colors, easy to identify in box
These colors are rich and gorgeous to draw or write with. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to easily tell the colors apart in their box but each refill has a plastic colored dot on the end to clearly show what color is inside.

Pilot Pens: Priceless, Priced to Sell, Worth the Price
These ink cartridge refills are meant for the Pilot pens, namely Plumix and Parallel Pens. So, you think you want to use them on another fountain pen, converter, or bottle? No. Get away from this page, now, or at least be willing accept the fact that you will make a mess. This is out of the kindness of the heart of one who has survived many a blue-black stain. The colors in this pack of cartridges are beautiful in addition to a great variety: pink, red, orange, yellow, light-green, green, turquoise, blue, violet, sepia, blue-black, and black. The colors are Pilot high quality, clear, and even. It is worth the $4-$6 for the Plumix pens, for example,Pilot Plumix Refillable Fountain Pen with 1 Refill, Medium Point, Black Barrel, Black Ink (90055)so you can use these colors when not working on calligraphy or other artistic possibilities from the Parallel PensPilot Pen Parallel Pen 2-Color Calligraphy Pen Set, with Red and Blue Ink Cartridges, 1.5MM Nib, 90050(of which you should buy two. Check it out, gorgeous gradations of ink WITHOUT a mess). You cannot beat the price for 12 colors (to give you a good idea of what to order in greater quantities, of course), and it makes the perfect starter set for the Parallel Pens and/or Plumix, especially if you are just a fountain pen aficionado who always needs more.

Ice-Cream Smooth! Why I like (and don't like) Pilot Parallel Ink Refills
For the price, you can't really beat this ink for your Pilot Parallel Pen. For just under $5 you get 12 different colors to play with. And they're not just for Calligraphy. I use mine for Calligraphy, yes, but I also use it for my Art. I love my Pilot Parallel in my Art. Art Journals, Handmade Cards, pretty much anything I design... yep, this ink is killer.Yes, you *could* refill your own pen - and I have, for a few reasons. For instance, I like India Ink and sometimes I want to use that. But, these are SO much simpler, so much easier to use then refilling your own. Let's face it, refilling your own takes patience. Time. Patience. And it can make a real mess. ;) These, you simply unscrew the old one - pop in the new one. Wallah, your done. Easy as pie. (Be sure to clean your pen in between colors.)What I love:I love how smooth these colors are. It's like ice-cream. They're so creamy they just glide right on the page. In a way, they remind me of markers. Like Markers, they're smooth and thick. Bold and beautiful.I love how quick and easy the cartridges are to change.I love how vivid the colors are.I love the price. Bottled ink can be really expensive, so when you compare the difficulty of refilling the cartridges, versus using these refills at this price - I don't feel like I'm losing.I love that you get 12 different colors.I love that if you have 2 different pens, you can get color gradation. What I don't love:I don't love that you can't store opened colors. At least not very easily. (Another reason I've refilled my own.) The best you can do is keep them upright in an airtight container - (and it still may not work). Pilot, however, does not recommend this. (Of course they don't.)I don't love how sensitive the cartridge is. If you apply a tiny bit too much pressure while squeezing them when you're loading a new cartridge to get the ink to flow into the nib, you chance causing a leak in the cartridge, or blowing ink everywhere through the nib.I don't love the price. I know, I just said I did. But when you see how tiny the box is, and you really, really think about what you're getting - inks expensive! Some Tips:Like Markers, these inks will bleed when used with thinner paper. So, be sure to place a drop sheet, or the likes, beneath your work, or use thicker paper to prevent bleeding. These inks do NOT dry quickly. Therefore, be careful not to drag your hand, pen, or anything else through your work before it is dry.I recommend this for anyone who has a Pilot Parallel Pen. If you don't have a Pilot Parallel Pen, what are you waiting for? Go get one. You can find my favorite, the 3.8mm (green) here: Pilot Parallel Pen 2-Color Calligraphy Pen Set, with Black and Red Ink Cartridges, 3.8mm Nib (90052)It comes with two cartridges - black and red, a pipette to clean the unit, a full instruction sheet, in color, with basic calligraphy instructions, a nib cleaner, and the pen unit itself for under $8. You will be SO happy you did.In this box, the colors included are:Pink (Magenta)RedOrangeYellowLight GreenGreenTurquoiseBlueVioletSepiaBlue-BlackBlackHappy Inking!

Pilot Vanishing Point Fountain Pen and Mixable Colors
I just bought a Pilot Vanishing Point Fountain Pen and the Pilot Mixable Colour. I could not for the life of me find any information about if the Pilot Vanishing Point Fountain Pen being able to works with the Pilot Mixable Colours. I am here to let you all know that it does. So far I have only use on of the ink in the Vanishing Point Fountain Pen. I love how bright and easy to use the colors are. It works like any of the other inks Pilot makes. I know that this product states that it is for the Pilot Parallel Pens, but you also can use them in the Vanishing Point Fountain Pens if you would like to have more colors then black or Blue/Black. I know that some of use don't live in a black and blue world. I sure don't and why should one of my favorite pens have too? I say no to only a hand full of colors! Use the Pilot Mixable Colour refills. They are amazing and working wonderful in the Pilot Vanishing Point Fountain Pen.I will update you on how it does in a week or two.I am back and wanted to let you know that I did email Pilot and here is what they said,We recommend the use of our Namiki/Pilot ink to refill your pen. Its exclusive formula ensures proper long-term functioning of your writing instruments. Other brands can damage and prevent the proper functionality of your pen, which inhibits your writing experience and voids your warranty.I have to say that I am going to still use this ink in my Vanishing Point Fountain pen and see what happens in the next month. So far it has been working really well and I love this ink in my pen.
