Q: what version of displayport is 1.4 ??

Since there are 8 different dp settings running from the very early 1.0 and running to the newest 2.0* depending on the age of your equipment and GPU I'm surprised anyone who sells dp connection does not know this. Obviously, if you try to put your 1.4 8k dp cable into a 1.0 dp mini connecter into your i7 or above, does anyone actually believe the transmission to monitor will STILL be 8K...or even 2k? What's the use of connecting an expensive new GPU to the monitor when either, it won't connect (transmit) at the correct speed, video and audio. It actually amazes me anyone even needs to ask this question, let alone the Sellers bewildered, having NO Idea why you would need to ask the DP connection. Surely I can't be the only one out there, that when you buy new hardware, etc you UPGRADE THE CABLES! And, if you add either an extension cable OR connector, IT BETTER ALL TRANSMIT THE SAME capacity or you either won't get the Quality you want, or it just won't work. The Seller must get a lot of needless returns, if they don't even know what Display Port size they are sending.
