Reliable camera holster
I tried several methods of carrying a Nikon P950, including another (cheaper) brand of belt-holster, but all had serious drawbacks. The $20 belt-holster I bought seemed great, but in use the design of it caused the camera's attachment to the mount to loosen within minutes of walking (as the reviews suggested). The Spider holster, though crazy expensive, is the cat's meow! Solid, thick metal components, a very comfortable belt, and holds the camera in a very convenient attitude perfect for quickly disconnecting it from the belt-holder (which has a locking lever) and even quicker for putting it back into the holder. If you can afford it, this is ideal for a camera like mine. I'm 100% satisfied...

A nice holster for a heavy camera.
I use this on an almost daily basis for bird photography. It’s great to carry a heavy camera and is easy to access. It’s a bit pricey, but is well made and works well.

Secure camera holster
I asked professional photographers to recommend the best camera holster. Hands down this is the one. I use this everywhere I go with my camera whether I am hiking or in the city. It is incredible easy to hang the camera on this belt and also to take it out. It just feels very secure. I use the lock mechanism, just to be 100% safe. I vacationed where I hiked in the woods, in the city and went out for a night of astrophotography. Spider Holster is a life saver for me. You can hardly feel it on your hip and it protects your clothes from the movement of the camera abrading your leg. . After using a dslr even with a small lens on a neck strap I would have severe neck pain. Any type of telephoto lens and I would have to hand hold the camera. Using the holster you hardly feel it on your hip. If you walk around a lot with your camera and find the neck strap irritating this is definitely the best investment you could make. I also have a mirrorless camera I plan to use with this system. Now my only problem is choosing which accessory to get next.

A safe and secure way to carry your expensive camera
This is a very well made and comfortable holster. It was a little pricey IMO, but so is my camera. It's made in the USA, and it's very secure. If you carry your camera in crowded situations, rest assured that once you clip it onto the belt, it can't fall of or be subject to someone trying to grab it and run. The camera locks in place once you attach it to the belt, and there's a release catch you have to push before you can take it off the holster. The holder mechanism is securely attached to the belt and holster, and will not come off without tools and a great deal of effort. I would have bought the double holster for my other camera, but it's just the single holster with an add-on clip for the other side that isn't permanently attached in the same fashion.

Great holder for camera
What are you have a full size DSLR or a small mirror less camera, this holster desert great job of holding it and keeping it at your ready. It has a nice positive track where the mail attachment slides in and it has a flip lock on it to keep it secure from somebody grabbing your camera and stealing it. I use this along side a black rapid sling strap and it allows me to carry two full-size DSLR's, on this one I have a 70-200 mm lens. Even with this large camera and lens I don't notice the weight on my hip. Love this holster

Buckle no good
Will only give 1 star for the time being. Have not been able to wear it because I can't get the buckle to undo. Returned the 1st I got for same reason. Ordered another buckle, will update once that comes in.

Must have for the busy photographer!
You would not regret getting this! It’s sturdy, highest quality material and looks super cool around your waste. It’s a bit tricky to remove due to additional safety buckle hardware, but once you get the hang of it - it’s a must have!!

Terrible Customer service very condescending
I watched every youtube video on the spider holster pro v2 that I could find to educate myself before making a purchase the product cost is $150 but by the time I got what I originally ordered it cost me $200. The advertising touts a new V2 plate with pin mounts for right and left so I understood the DSLR mounting clip pin was reversible either Right or Left at least thats the impression I got from watching review videos. I received my product from Amazon opened the box and adjusted the belt size to fit then used the encluded Allen wrench to remove the pin and place it on the right, it striped out. I started an email conversation with Spider customer service but by the time I got a response I had already sent the holster back to Amazon, when Spider Co contacted me they said the pin has loc-tight for safety and a new pin should be added. Ok thats good to know. So I apologized that I didn’t know that and I placed a new order direct with Spider Co and I ordered an additional pin $8. When I received the new holster the box said spider holster pro v2 for DSLR which is what I ordered, but it had the wrong plate in the box a plate for the mirrorless camera which has only one pin, so again I contacted customer service by email, they answered that they don’t have the correct packaging, I asked for them to just send me the correct plate he said no but I have the option to return the product back and order the correct version for DSLR, I said I did order the one for DSLR and they put the wrong plate in the box, we went round and round finally I caved because between the first Amazon order and the direct order with Spider I had lost 3 weeks so spider would not honor the labeling on the box, they claimed that I ordered the wrong product and refused to correct their own error in a timely fashion. They should have simply sent me the correct plate. So to save time I ordered the $35 plate, I told them that their product was the best product and suited my needs, I like the product but also said “Your customer satisfaction is completely absent. and your advertising needs to accurately list contents in the box. I was completely happy up until they would not admit any wrong nor any error it was all my fault. I paid for the mistakes that I didn’t make and now I leave my review, which I was hopping would be one of praise. So far the product is fine but the customer service and satisfaction is not.

The holster built well and in my opinion this is the best solution for putting a camera on your waist. The mechanism lets to put a camera in quickly and securely. The only problem is that the v2 plate doesn't fit on a horizontal grip (I have a Canon EOS R) since there are two bumps that help to fit the plate securely on a bare camera but can't fit on a grip. So I use v1 plate for gripped camera instead. Other than that I like this product and highly recommend it!

Worth every penny. I had shoulder pain for too long and now it’s no longer an issue. Don’t even hesitate. Your back is worth more than this belt!
