Solid 20 map surge protector, Built tough for 20 AMP circuits of most dishwashers and furnaces
Easy to read status indicators , clamps voltage fast. 20 amp required on most dishwashers and furnaces due to motor start surge. 20 Surge protects where 15 Amp products drop voltage circuit break at critical start up, can't take the 20 amp load. Protected my equipment when Xcel line surge blew boards of neighbors 20 amp fused furnace and dishwasher.

REALLY NICE FOR BEHIND YOUR ELETRONIC-NO CORDS
Think handy surge protector does exactly what it says - protects against surges for 20A copiers or other sensitive and expensive units. Fits snugly right into the wall with no cords to mess with and the copier cord even goes into the side so you can get it as close to the wall as you need to...no worries about running over or bending the electrical cord. Plug it in and forget about it - my kind of product!

I should have bought the MD2 (beware image searches; not all are correct).
One of the prongs is 90° off. I should have paid closer attention, but I was choosing based on the 20-Amp breaker in the breaker box and the probability of getting a new refrigerator.

Works with large printers
This is a 20A surge protector that must be plugged into a 20A outlet (a 20A outlet has a different plug from a regular outlet) and you can plug two 15A or 20A devices into it. We are using this with a large multifunction printer on a dedicated 20A circuit and its working as expected.

Special Plug
I purchased this surge protector because of the 20 Amp rating. I have a plug-in car and the charger kept tripping off at work when on full-power (about 12 Amps). I purchased this to see if it was surges on the line that caused the charging problem. The device has the special 20 Amp plug with one leg turned 90 degrees from the other. The problem was that I could not directly plug it into due to the hinged cover on the outlet (outside type). It cost me about $40 to build a suitable short extension cord to adapt it. In the end, it turned out not to be a surge problem, but more likely under-voltage due to long line length. None of this is the fault of the device, but be aware of the special 20 Amp plug requirement.
