Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd Gen - 4K UHD, Google TV, 32GB Memory, Dolby Vision & Atmos, WiFi 6, HDMI 2.1, Fast Streaming, Compact and Powerful

I bought the Xiaomi TV Box S (3rd Gen) as a workaround for ongoing media playback issues on a modern Samsung Smart TV. The TV panel itself is excellent, but its built-in software (DLNA/USB media handling in particular) proved unreliable and inconsistent. The Xiaomi box has been rock solid from day one. Setup took minutes. It outputs a clean 4K signal, handles 1080p content beautifully (the upscaling is noticeably better than the TV’s own processing), and plays everything I throw at it without drama. Local media playback via apps like VLC/Kodi works exactly as it should, and streaming apps are fast and responsive. What really stands out is consistency. No disappearing files, no random “content cannot be displayed” messages, no reboots or resets required. It just works. Bluetooth audio (headphones) is stable, picture quality is excellent, and the interface is far more polished and predictable than many TV operating systems. In practice, this has turned my TV into a dumb display — which is exactly how I want it. If you’re frustrated with flaky “smart” TV software, this is a simple, inexpensive fix that genuinely improves the experience. Highly recommended.

good solid product, compatible with old non smart tvs. easy to use, response time is good and connect well with wifi. picture and audio quality are good too. eventhough it is a bit pricey, it is good value for money. Xiaomi delivered again for me - highly recommend

Works great, has a wide support for applications. No noticible lag on video playback. Came with a HDMI Cable however it did come with a European plug instead of a British plug - not a massive deal, solved that with a £5 adapter. Other than that, great little streaming puck.

This item is faulty it constantly gets notifications that Internet connection is lost like every minute or two. I bought an long Ethernet cable and an USB to Ethernet adapter which I should not have to have, but it still gets this issue every single I use the box until it works out there is an Ethernet cable in it extremely poor. The customer service didn't bother to read my issue, sent a response about the did deliver the item go ask neighbors if they've got it. This puts me off shopping from places like this. The box is actually quite good too when working. Id give it 9/10 when working. Also this box has a huge number with this flaw just Google and you'll see no way this should be happening on a device let alone gen 3 of a device Thank you.

Great replacement for fire sticks as they are now just old, slow and don't let you use netflix. This box is amazing and is way better than any other android TV box I've seen

I’m really happy with the Xiaomi TV Box S 3rd Gen. The 4K picture quality is sharp and vibrant, and apps load quickly with no lag. Setup was very simple, and the remote is straightforward and responsive. It handles Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and other apps smoothly, and the sound quality with Dolby support is a nice bonus. Overall, it’s a compact, reliable and affordable streaming box that works exactly as expected. Great value for the price!

This is probably the full dogs gonads of TV boxes, however I found it seriously deficient after setup. I just couldn't get basic functions to work, for instance the 'All Apps' button. More importantly, at least for me, This device only works by streaming using bluetooth or wifi. I need a physical connection via usb or HDMI. OK I should have checked, and I can't blame the manufacturer for not having this, it just doesn't work for me, but I may be a lone outlier. So my review is just to warn others who might be in the same boat. If you can do everything you want an dhave the patence to work out why some functions are playing up there's lots of other reviewers saying it's a good bit of tech. So It's returned and Im awaiting the refund, meanwhile I've ordered a different gizmo that does have the ports I require.

Unlike most comments, it came with a UK plug. Arrived today so tested for short time, lagged a bit during setup but once it was all setup it does work fine, very easy to use, great picture quality. Not having an ethernet port could be a disadvantage but so far no connection issues. So nothing to complain about and its doing what it says with a good performance, therefore 5 stars.

It’s a little on the expensive side, but overall this is a great Android TV box. It’s super easy to set up and very user-friendly.

It's a little pricey so I took a chance like most people & I was very pleasantly surprised how much I liked it that I'm thinking of getting a 2nd one. Definitely take advantage of he mic "Google voice assistant" on the remote. Believe it or not, it's one of the best feature on a android tv box. You can be watching something else & ask about the weather or ask what's your favorite team's score it pops up fast automatically on the screen in detail. Instead of looking it up on your phone. Good picture, decent display, easy customizing & adding apps with the 28gb is a breeze. Even though it's not top of the line android box. It does a good job streaming unknown apps.. If you don't like something you can change certain things & certain settings around . Ok.. What I don't like is the short wire adapter plug. That's ok, I got a extention cord etc... No batteries for the remote, buy some ahead of time .. I definitely don't like the remote like for the most reasons people here complained about. That's ok.. I got a cheap white onn remote that I paired up to the box (hold home & back arrow at the same time. ). Changing the remote was the best thing for me. It's now more enjoyable way navigating around while talking Advantage of a android box steaming function. I definitely recommend it

Excellent box. High quality videos. No buffering. Remote is a little difficult to use in the dark. Voice input button is a great bonus. No hdmi socket. Have to use wi fi. I have been using the cheaper boxes in the past. This one is well worth the extra cost, the difference is really noticable. Only disappointment is the lack of UK mains plug.
