Really impressed.
I bought this lock for my home office door. I sometimes travel and need to be able to lock it while my house is being taken care of by others. It went in pretty easily. I like being able to put in eight combinations/passcodes. I also like being able to leave it unlocked. To someone who doesn't know the lock it still appears to be locked but a user knows that all one has to do is touch one key to open in this mode. So, I leave it this way most of the time and if someone breaks into my home, it will appear to be locked. Super cool. This lock is very sturdy and operates smoothly. NICE. I was very surprised. Great value for the money.

Read this one!
I bought two of these security key door knobs over two years ago. They’re worth every penny spent. Plumbers and flood damaged floors are expensive fixes. Our purpose of installing these was to keep our ASD kiddo out of our bathrooms unsupervised. Everything about this product has worked well. Battery last a long time, easy to install, size fits a standard small inside door and it doesn’t fail. The only issues we’ve ran into were user errors. Like the time my spouse left the door open and chaos followed. Or the time I accidentally programmed one of the door knobs wrong, because the kid figured out the code and I had to reprogram both of them… So about that! I noticed one of the knobs was allowing entry with partial code input. I thought it was broken and reached out to the company. Excellent costumer service! The video I sent was seen by their tech team and they were able to explain that it was user error on my part. To just reprogram it because I had accidentally put it in passive mode. The fact that they were so prompt in their response and helpful I appreciate immensely. For me a company that stands by their product and is responsive to their customers makes it worth everything! Takeaway: I would absolutely buy again. Just don’t be like me and loose the instructions and go off your memory if you’re reprogramming the code. You may do it wrong, but at least this company has your back as they did send me a digital copy of the instructions. This shows how easy installation is though, because I was able to remember (2 years later even) the sequence to program it and one out of the two knobs was working fine. I’d give this product and its company more than 5 stars if I could. Highly recommended

A Decade Of Faithful Service
I've been using the previous version of this lock multiple times a day for around 10 years without fail. I would still be using this lock if I hadn't been too lazy to change the batteries and left the battery pack in the room I unlocked. In the decade of service, it never once failed to secure the room or unlock (as long as it had battery power). The battery life varied from lasting about a year to slightly less, depending on the brand. It gives you plenty of warning when the battery pack is low, so the mishap is all my fault. The keypad is easy to read in any light condition and never failed to light up. I had to actually cut the keypad off with a Sawzall to get it open, and that took five minutes, so the lock is durable. I replaced my old lock with one that is only five years old, and I have absolutely no worries about security or function on any permutation of this excellent lock.

Update:Stopped working after 3 months
Was easy to install and worked great for 3 months. Now it is not unlocking after the code is entered. It beeps correctly to indicate the code worked, but knob is not engaging to unlock. Update: Thought it stopped working as the lights were still on. Then read the manual and replace the batteries that had come with the lock. It is working now. Batteries that came with the lock worked for only about 3 months.

Using now for 4.5 years and still love it! It’s an awesome product for a great price!!
December 2019: used for 6 months now and we absolutely love this door knob. It's easy to install and use and we have found it to be very secure. I haven't had any issues and have been using it for at least 6 months so far. I am actually using this on an exterior side door and I love that my daughter can get inside safely at night and quickly without fumbling for keys. The keypad lights up, you can program multiple access codes so everyone has their own and it's super easy to setup and install. I highly recommend it for both internal and external use (if it’s a covered area protected from rain/snow etc.) It's been great for us!! I’ll be sure to update along the way. ***Update Edit***We have now been using this for quite a while now. The original purchase was July 2019,, installed upon receiving, and we still love it and have never had any issues at all with it and it’s now November 2023! We now use it on the small entry door that goes from our garage into the house. I absolutely love having the security of knowing even if someone gets in my garage, they won’t be getting inside my home. I highly recommend to anyone looking for something like this. To anyone having code issues: definitely read the instructions and if still having issues I’d refer you to go to the sellers website. This company makes a very well Made product and is hey stand behind it as well.. so I guess we have been using it 4.5 years now and can tell you a couple things concerning codes: the code you received is your master code and should be changed to your own secure master code upon receipt. You should keep your master code safe and put away so as not to forget it and you shouldn’t use it as your daily use code. You should make daily use codes using the instructions provided. It’s very easy once you’ve done it a couple times. Also, I’ve seen some people say they put their backup key in safes or other safe places. You should carry this key on your key ring. Should your batteries ever fail, you’re gonna need it accessible and not locked away somewhere.

Updated review. NO LONGER as good as I could have hoped.
11 month Update: My lock has stopped working. All the lights work, it accepts the code, it clicks internally, but the handle keeps spinning and wont open the door. I now have to leave the emergency key in the lock all the time. Contacted the company thru customer service. Left a detailed message. They responded super quick, but unhelpfully. They said to go to their website and contact them outside of amazon. I immediatly did that. They have no contact page so I found their email address and left a second detailed message, referring to my prrviously (also) detailed message from amazon. They emailed me back yet again asking for even more information, stating they wont respond to any more emails without that information. This is information they apparently require, but didnt bother asking for until after contacting them multiple times. I could go ahead and do that, but i feel like im in return h@ll now. I fear I will send that information and then theyll ask me to email someone else and jump through another hoop and the stress vein in my forehead will pop. Nope, they win. They dont need to send me a replacement for their faulty device. They also wont be getting orders for locks for the rest of my house. Competitions thick, Ill be searching for another lock company to do business with. One that not only responds to problens quickly, but makes those responses meaninful instead of just tossing people from que to que. Time is money and spending an hour for a refund on a $50 lock, thats already not worth it. Original Review: This does exactly what it claims to do. I read the instructions, then I read them again, then I read them one last time. Then I followed along with them step by step to make sure I didnt mess up. Reading alot of reviews for similar locks people had really bad experiences, ones I had no intention of repeating. Anyways, I unscrewed and removed a pre-existing indoor lock, installed this lock in its place (no other modifications needed). I programmed it, tested the manual key, tested the code and it worked perfectly. It took me longer to study the instructions 3 separate times than it took to actually install the lock. Its been installed for about a month now. I've entered the code maybe 30 times and used the door handle 100 times. It seems like a quality product and expect it to last me a while. AND if it doesn't, well it was only $55 and there is the backup key hidden outside the locked area. All in all I'm very happy with the product and I anticipate buying a few more for my interior bedrooms before I head off on my yearly travel excursion (no need for a weekly cleaner or house sitter to be wandering around bedrooms).

Well Built!
This is very well built. Easy to install. Good looking. Been trying to find a good lock for a while. My property manager has been using them and recommended to me. I have two in my house and two at my rental properties. I wish they would make a lever version in the future. One did fail, but when I reached out to customer service via email. They sent me another one. Overall, this is a 5 star company to me.
