The Astonishing Power of Emotions 8-CD set

This review has to be similar to my review of the Law of Attraction set, since it's so similar... same type subject matter created by the same people. BUT... this content, while similar, is more laser focused upon our internal guidance system... our emotions & what they are telling us about our path... and how to use them to guide us. This maybe one of my favorites of their series of books (so far). This is so helpful on so many levels.And I should add, in case you're not as familiar with the Abraham-Hicks series... they are written (and read) with such personality... They are informative, but also sometimes humorous... never stuffy. It's a bit like having your favorite teacher interact with you.~~~~~~~~~~~~Other than that... I have to give it the same review as I did the Law of Attraction collection:What a relief! I've wanted to absorb this material for a long time! I've had the books for... ever! I'd get part way through them and then get busy... other stuff got piled on... I'd misplace... you know... life on the hamster wheel.So I got these CDs and Waala! Since I drive a lot, it's a great way to make use of the time! When I need to hear something again... "Say that again... one more time?"... I just hit the << button and it starts the section again and I can re-listen and absorb it.I also think the more times you listen to it, you absorb more info! Like a good, complicated movie... the more times you watch it, you pick up on stuff you previously had missed. I think sometimes, your brain just isn't quite ready to take in some stuff... until you're better primed... then you become ready. These CDs are perfect for that kind of approach.I love having these CDs in my collection and I will be listening to them over & over & over again.

This book adds to everything that Abraham-Hicks has published. It presents the basic material in a different way. The more I hear it, the more it sinks in, the better I understand the material, and I am better able to walk the walk.I own the CD audio version, and plan to purchase the book. The audio version provides a fast run-through, but I like to read the book also to study in depth, re read, hilite, make notes, etc. I discount the negative reviews of Jerry Hicks reading the material. Yes, he reads fast, and possibly it sounds monotone, BUT, the material is real. Since I have listened to Esther channel Abraham, it is easy for me to hear that voice in place of Jerry. I don't find it difficult to listen to Jerry. The material captures me.Some may complain that it is a rehash of prior books. That is true to some extent, but there is always a new set of sails on the basic material, and I find it very helpful. I read all of Abraham-Hicks material more than once, and I will read this one more than once. I also look forward to any new Abraham-Hicks publications. New material keeps me involved and moving forward.Because of Abraham-Hicks material, I have become aware of the law of attraction working in my life, and I try to see and do things differently to achieve different results. I know definitely my vibrational level is rising, and this material helps me move in what I feel is a positive direction.My only recommendation is start with earlier material. This book launches from earlier material, and the review is brief.

after reading several reviews, the most apparent objection to this audio cd of the book was jerry's reading. i agree: however, why shoot the messenger? i feel that the process of offering step by step examples of moving to a better feeling place was extremely helpful. so, i would give it an A+ for exploring that aspect of their work. it's something that i have not seen prior, but actually provides helpful hypothetical examples of "wiggling" to that better feeling place to come into alignment with your true essence. thank you e & j for all that you do. i choose to overlook any surface irritation to move to the helpful insights that abraham-hicks provides. oh, well, i find it humorous that we're reviewing channeled beings work in this jaded reality!

I am very disappointed with this cd set.I thought this set would be Abraham channeled via Esther,But,Nooooooo it's Jerry just reading the book at such a fast rate of speed and so monotone-no passion whatsoever!I gave up after listening to this speed reading by the 3rd cd,Although I did fast forward through the rest seeking to hear Abraham or Esther to no avail.No Esther whatsoever...how can one absorb anything from this when if you blink an eye you miss a word from this audio book?!!At least Abraham and Esther take their time to help one understand.I should have just bought the book and read it at my pace..at least I would've learned a thing or two.I felt this way also when i purchased the entire deliberate intent series on cd..I so enjoy hearing Esther's great sense of humor and of course Abraham.Jerry,You're a wonderful man for seeking this out many yrs ago and I Thank you for your research and work,But please allow Esther & Abraham to expound on these teachings with their humorous deep passion and easier understanding...they truly make us all passionate about the law..i'm sure like myself most others also savor every teaching from Abraham & Esther leaving us feeling happy to be here and wanting more out of life.But when Jerry reads on audio--do not listen while driving..he reads way to fast!Unfortunately,I came away with nothing learned from cd set..What a bummer.wish I could get my money back also.If you haven't purchased the book please do so and save yourself money for another book,you'll get more out of it by reading rather than listening,as i enjoy listening due to a busy schedule.0 stars for this cd set.AMAZON,PLEASE CREATE AN AREA TO LET THE BUYER KNOW IF ITS A BOOK READ AND BY WHOM IE;JERRY HICKS ONLY.Thank you.

A nice change of pace from some of their other wonderful CD sets. The examples speak to a variety of concerns that will hit close to home for most people.
