Great Tasting bread
I love this bread, great taste. This is the first time I ordered it and I am not disappointed. I will order this again

Its not for everyone, but I love it!
This "bread" is heavy, dark, and "seedy". It is sliced so thin I don't think you could make a sandwich with it. But you can toast it, and slather it with butter, and is yummy. Extremely unusual texture, and flavor. One persons review said it was not fit for human consumption..........I laugh when i eat it thinking about the review. In summary, I would call lit weird and wonderful---if you have a pallet with a strong sense of adventure.

Shipped without protection of box
Great bread. Delivery problem? More like a shipping problem!! The bread was broken on a corner. Edible but most of one loaf broken into extra pieces. The bread was shipped without being within a box! Hello Amazon! STUPID IDEA. Plastic wrap is not enough protection!

Not for sandwiches
The flavor is great and the pieces are nice and thin, but because they are so thin, the bread breaks into pieces. This can't be used for a sandwich.

The quality snd consistency of the slices noticeably deteriorated
I'm of German origin and have eaten pumpernickel bread since childhood. I've bought this brand several times without problems because it's German; however, my last order of three packages was a complete disaster. The bread slices arrived all broken inside the unopened packaging, and they crumbled to pieces when I took them out. This happened with every single one of the three packages I received. The bread no longer has the firm consistency of previous orders, and I have serious reservations about buying this brand again. I would like to hear from the manufacturer before placing another order; otherwise, for the time being, I do not recommend buying from this brand and will look for pumpernickel bread supply sourced.
