SABRE Aim and Fire Pepper Gel with Trigger and Grip Deployment System, 15-Foot (4.5-Meter) Range, Gel is Safer

Okay I love this thing. I'm not comfortable keeping lethal weapons in my purse at all. Before this I had bought a taser gun, but it was terrible. One shot and if you miss, that's that. And the batteries in the thing would always die so fast. This pepper gel gun is perfect - non lethal, you can adjust your aim if you miss, and no batteries to die on you when you finally need the stupid thing.

I walk my pup some nights, and about midnight or 1:00 a.m., he really enjoys those late walks in the park. I picked up the Sabra pepper gel gun for common coyotes commonly seen in the park. Fortunately, I've not needed to use this yet. I like the feel of the gun, the way the barrel flips open and a new cartridge goes in, and the cartridge has multiple firings or sprays. It also comes with a test cartridge that lets you get a feel for the material's flow, how far it travels, etc. Something to consider is that the gun looks impressive and could be considered a real gun by someone who doesn't immediately recognize the orange barrel. It could be very intimidating and even cause panic if you pull this out to defend yourself in public. But tucked in my pocket, it's there if I need it. And I think a product like this, especially being non-lethal, is an ideal product for citizenry to carry and protect themselves if absolutely necessary. Not having used the product, I get the feeling it's very effective from its weight and what I've read about it.

I was pleasantly suprised at how well this little gun worked. I tested it with a target on a breezy day about 10 - 14 ft away. Hit where I was aiming, felt comfortable in my hand, and didn't have any overspray or back draft get on me.

The product is good to say the least. It is made of durable materials and small, but rather thick. I can’t complain for the price. I give it four stars because it’s so thick but it’s still a nice product.

Purchased this product a few years ago and carry it regularly when walking my dogs in quiet places where I enjoy the solitude, but don't necessarily feel "safe" from being surprised by an assailant or a mountain lion. This product is made of good-quality plastic and feels like it will last a very long time. It looks like a real pistol, aside from the orange color. It fits into my hand easily and aims well. It comes with a practice canister. The real thing, the pepper spray, is VERY STRONG. Out of curiosity, I aimed it at my kitchen wall, at a three-foot distance. It hit my "target " with no problem, and caused me to cough uncontrollably. I had to wash it off my walls with soap, because it still caused me to cough the next day!!! This stuff is no-nonsense, and a must for all dog-walkers and hikers, especially women. I bought a universal holster so I can wear it at all times while I walk with the "buddies". I recomment this item without reservation. I am buying an extra pepper spray canister to have in reserve.
