O-Cedar ProMist MAX Microfiber Spray Mop Removes 99% of Bacteria with just Water, Features 1 Extra Refill

After installing vinyl-plank flooring, we decided to purchase this mop. After using it once per week for the last year on about 1,000 sq ft of floor, we have found that overall, this product is a good value and has held up quite well. Some details: We’re using Zep Neutral pH Floor Cleaner concentrate, which is available here or at Home Depot, etc. It works well and the floor always looks great, but Zep is not the subject of this review. You can easily control the amount of spray going out by altering the pressure on the trigger. The mop head swivel design is clever. After mopping, the cleaner dries without any streaks. The microfiber mop head can easily be flipped so you have the use of both sides. Even though the company recommends replacing it in 6 months, that really depends on how much you use it. We’re still on our first one but will replace it very soon. You might consider buying an extra one or two. After mopping, it cleans up well in the washing machine and air dries fast, however, you might want to wash it separately if the floor is heavily soiled. At one point, the spray bottle developed a leak, so we contacted the manufacturer. They immediately sent a replacement with no questions and at no charge. A great example of standing behind your product. Thanks! From the quibble department: the rubber grip on the shaft has started to crack, however, this in no way affects the performance of the mop. Manufacturers always face a tradeoff of better materials or lower prices; in this case in my opinion, they found the right balance. Also, the lock for holding the spray bottle in place sometimes becomes loose, however, the bottle does not move when inserted correctly. It’s almost like the lock is not necessary, but if the company determines it is, may we suggest they redesign it for a future model. Other than these nits, we found none to pick, and much to recommend this product.

I love a clean floor. Do you enjoy mopping? No, right? Well, this is the easiest mop I have EVER used in my life! I often have back problems, so I can (and do) even SIT in a chair and use this O-Cedar mop to my hearts content. It's light as a feather, you can use various cleaning solutions, (check directions/suggestions for your floor type) The liquid container comes off so easy to fill it up with your choice of cleaner, and you just clip it right in. I watched the video here and it's so easy, even I can do it. The terry cloth head cover is removable to wash, and it goes on as easy- as it comes off. I cant tell you how much easier this mop has made my life, mopping my floor is a breeze. My floor gets a beating bc it's white. It does the corners of my white ceramic floor very nicely. With those very tiny corners of a tight space, I just take an old wash cloth and get in their by hand; no problem! Because mopping the rest is so easy now. I'm not crazy about strong detergents, so I prefer to just use vinegar and water. When the vinegar odor dissipates- the remaining scent is so clean. (Even window cleaner, bc it makes my floors sparkle). Heavy duty cleansers tend to leave a sticky residue on ceramic floors. Maneuverable, light and wonderful to use! My kitchen floor is always clean now; and I even enjoy doing it! ps can't hang it up? I tied a ribbon on the handle and then hung it on a wall hook! Bingo! Thank you O-Cedar!

I really like this mop. I use it to mop the linoleum and hard wood floors. I also use it to dry mop the walls of the house. I love that the mop heads are machine washable. They clean easily on towel cycle in the washing machine. I enjoy being able to refill the dispenser with the cleaner of my choice. I am giving 4 stars because sometimes, while in storage with cleaner still in the dispenser, the cleaner leaks out of the sides of the dispenser leaving a small puddle on the floor. I have solved this problem by not overfilling or emptying before storing.

Great product, very light weight. Word of advice, in the cap to the bottle there is a little rubber plug that covers a small hole. If you're bottle starts to leak,look for it inside the bottle. This is the 2nd one we purchased, one for the kitchen end of the house and the other for the other end. My first one started leaking till I emptied the tank and plop goes that Lil rubber plug. Other than that small hiccup I highly recommend this. I use Simple Green lavender cleaner I bought from here and it does the job very well. Only need a small amount of this cleaner. If your on the fence about purchasing it jump off and buy it.

I LOVE this mop! I'm extremely picky about the things I order! It cost under $20 and does an amazing job! My floors look amazing! You can use any cleaner that you want and the mop pad is washable in your washing machine! I put it together outta the box in less than minutes! GREAT MOP!!!!

Easy peasy cleaner

I want to share my experience with “The Best Spray Mop” cleaning tool. It didn’t clean my house floors as effectively as it did for the America's Test Kitchen team. I wish I could have enjoyed and shared the same great results they did!  Regardless of the angle at which I hold the mop’s handle when I sweep, the mop’s entire microfiber surface doesn’t touch or clean the floor; only part of it does. I have to press harder to apply pressure. Applying pressure can help improve contact between the mop and the surface. However, I can’t constantly maintain the mop's pressure when I have a larger surface, which is very uncomfortable. The microfiber cloth pad is a bit larger than expected, due to multiple washes losing shape, which makes it fit loosely on the hard plastic base. Because of this, it tends to move around while I'm sweeping, so it can be a little tricky to use effectively; I feel it's shifting back and forth with each sweeping movement. I always have to twist the red water reservoir's lid into a specific position for a secure fit and optimal operation. If I don’t take this extra care, the lid will skip the threads and become loose, causing water leaks. O-Cedar needs regular care; it is not just a “use it and forget it” cleaning tool. After using it, I take a few steps to keep it in good shape. First, I clean the microfiber pad. Then, I empty the water tank and rinse it before letting it dry. I also clean the sprayer part to prevent it from getting clogged. If my mop spreads germs instead of cleaning and disinfecting, I won't make the floors cleaner. It claims to be “The Best Spray Mop,” but it doesn’t work as well as I hoped. Although I would love the money back, unfortunately, it is too late to return it; it doesn’t comply with the return policy terms. Right from the beginning, this mop commands consumers' attention. The product description states: ”O-Cedar ProMist MAX Microfiber Spray Mop Removes 99% of Bacteria with just Water.” The claim that a piece of microfiber cloth takes away 99% of bacteria using only water is a vast oversimplification. With one sentence confidently highlighting “The Best Spray Mop,” among others, America's Test Kitchen focused consumers' attention on the O-Cedar ProMist MAX Microfiber Spray Mop. Also, ATK mentioned, “A good spray mop easily tackles small messes and routine cleanings without a bulky bucket.” Respectfully, “The Quicker Picker Upper” also has superior absorbency and effectiveness in cleaning all messes. Also, the manufacturers generally design all mops to handle small messes and routine maintenance. All models have convenient, standard heads for reaching under and around furniture, an obvious fact of modern design. O-Cedar's website states: “The folks at America’s Test Kitchen also named it the best spray mop!” O-Cedar also mentions: “After testing six mops, ProMist MAX easily came out on top!” O-Cedar clarifies further: “Voted Best Spray Mop by America’s Test Kitchen.” O-Cedar further implies: "Anatomy of a Winner.” Displayed prominently in a scalloped design on O-Cedar’s website, the "Anatomy of a Winner" comprises the following capabilities for impressive marketing terminology: spacious trigger, powerful sprayer, double-sided head, and super-absorbent pads— still insufficient. A mop that’s “America’s Test Kitchen Favorite” might not meet all users' practical and immediate needs. One platform alone indicates that seven percent of users are unsatisfied with the product’s long-term performance, build quality, price vs. value, effectiveness, etc. While the O-Cedar mop is just a mop, so is the Sweefer mop; yet, it is less bulky and, on the contrary, has an accurate sleeker profile. It makes it easier to store in narrow spaces, such as the six inches between the wall and the washing machine. I can use it on various surfaces by selecting the appropriate pad material for different floor types. There is no spray trigger malfunctioning or sticking, and there is no indication of how much solution to dispense for various surfaces, as this inconsistency can be somewhat frustrating. By recommending “The Best Spray Mop,” America’s Test Kitchen positions it as the top choice, using authority and confidence to sway customer decisions. As we say, “The Art of Persuasion.”

Don't let the photo be misleading...I do love this mop...I love that it is wide so it cleans more area, I love that the mops can be removed and washed in the washing machine, I love that I can use my own cleaning solution in the spray bottle. HOWEVER...the second time I used this mop (this morning) the mophead separated from the stick!..as shown in the photo. I wanted to finish while my solution was still warm, my husband was not here to help, and I could NOT get the mophead to go back on the swivel thingie. Finally, after many frustrated tries and tears, I thought to spray some PAM on the little rod where the swivel head fits...laid the mophead on my washing maching...and used all my force and BINGO! the swivel head popped back in place!!!! So, if this happens to you...don't waste almost an hour before you know what to do! Why did it pop off in the first place? I have no idea...maybe the manufacturer can answer this question. And yes! I do still love this mop!

Odd that the spray keys straight out though so if you want to get under furniture it sprays straight up instead of out in front of the mop pad. Otherwise a practical and handy gadget.

Not only is it simple to operate but the reusable pad is very quick and easy to wash by hand or machine. I just love it & wish I had it yrs. ago.
