I really like this fly line especially for top water action. It floats real well and is durable. I finally had a loop get bad so I just tied a new leader with mail knot. Good to go. I am replacing it now but I always carry backup and the wife is going more frequently now as well. I had used plenty of other brands but always return to Cortland. Been using their lines for 35 years.

This is one of the best lines I've found to use on my classic and modern bamboo rods. It performs just as well if not better than other lines is a much lower price. If you fish bamboo give this a try you won't be disappointed.

These 444 fly lines are very good. I've used them for many years without a problem. But the 5-weight floater I just bought did not come through with a welded front loop as advertised? Odd. Debating whether to return it, but its already on the reel.Is this is an older line that has been sitting around for sometime? Most likely.

I should've been buying this line from the beginning. Seems to outperform rio gold, shoots through the guides easily and casts really nice

I purchased this line to use with a medium action fly rod (fiberglass) in a variety of fishing situations from trout in rivers to panfish in local ponds. I didn't want to spend a fortune, nor did I want to purchase something that appeared affordable yet would turn out to be a waste of money. Well, this Cortland 444 Classic in a WF5F was just what I was looking for! The line casts perfectly on my rod, is perfectly supple and reasonable slick -- works just as I had hoped. From trout flies to panfish poppers and even small streamers, I've been very pleased. A great casting and great fishing line for a decent price.

Cortland Peach is the best fly line I have ever owned. I always overweight my line. WF5F for my 4 weight Orvis fly rod is perfect. This line shoots great.

Great line so far for a 5wt although i wish I went a little heavier

I have used many Cortland lines over the years and never had any problems with them. This lines tip would not stay above water and I had to return it.
