MeijiYan Yan with Chocolate Dip 2.0 Oz.

I pick up some really strange items at my neaby Fresh and Easy Neighborhood Market. Here's one. It's Yan Yan. It comes in a small (2 ounce) somewhat conical container in which there are some small "sticks" made of a pastry that tastes like Chinese fortune cookies. The container is partitioned and one side has the sticks and the other side has a chocolate dip. I take the sticks, dip them in the chocolate and, viola, into the mouth they go. Not bad. I use one container as dessert for two meals. Oh, and by the way, the little sticks have words printed on hem, sorta in fortune cookie style.Gary Peterson

"Yan Yan" are a delicious little snack that is suitable for any kid, even the big ones like me. The sticks are biscuit and they are not too sweet. Hence, the dipping sauce that comes in the pack. Together, they are a good treat to spoil yourself with.The only disadvantage is if you like reading while snacking. Unless you have a book holder, these are tough to eat without getting that chocolate dipping sauce on your book, (or on yourself).

Yan Yan is a biscuit-type snack you dip in a chocolate frosting-like paste. They're about four inches long apiece, crisp and buttery. Each Yan Yan stick has printing on one side of it that makes it fun to eat with friends, including a small picture, the name of animal, and something related to that animal, either a phrase, advice, or pun. It's kind of Engrish, but you get the point: it's fun seeing which stick your luck brings you. The chocolate dip is thick and and reminds me of nutella. My only complaint is that there's isn't more of it-- the frosting part of the container is less than half its width, and about a third of its height, so it's not a lot. Still, it is delicious, and it's fun to see which cute or silly message you'll get next.

Absolutely addicting. I was kind of hoping the frosting container went to the bottom of the tube, but they still give you a good amount. Definitely will be ordering a bulk amount of them.
